Car enthusiast community in India is growing and recently we have seen a rise in number of sports and supercar owners in the country. Even manufacturers like McLaren has decided to officially enter the market and they even opened a dealership in Mumbai this year. With a rise in number of sports car owners, we have also started seeing reports about crashes and accidents caused by such exotic cars. Latest reports are from Goa, where an overspeeding Nissan GT-R sportscar crashed into a Maruti Omni van and a scooter.
The video has been uploaded by Prateek Singh on his YouTube channel. The images were shared to him by one of his subscriber and he stitched them together to make a video out of it. The accident happened in Goa’s Loutolim. As per the reports, the driver of the Nissan GT-R sports car was driving the car rashly and was overspeeding and the car and at one point, driver lost control over the car. Nissan GT-R is an extremely powerful car and one has to be extremely cautious while driving such cars through public roads. Unfortunately, the driver could not regain control on the vehicle and it crashed into couple of vehicles.

One of the vehicles that the GT-R crashed into was a Maruti Omni and the other was a scooter. The driver of the Nissan GT-R, Maruti Omni and the scooter rider were all taken to a nearby hospital soon after the accident. From the pictures that are available in the video, it looks like the Nissan GT-R was heavily modified. The front end of the sportscar has suffered damages. The GT-R has lost its right headlamp, bumper, fender and a wheel. The front suspension on this car would have also suffered damages. The Maruti Omni that was involved in the accident is also seen in this video. The Maruti Omni only had a large dent in the front and one of the headlights on the van have also been damaged.
The condition of the scooter is not known clearly as it was lying away from the road. The video does not mention whether any of the people involved in the accident were seriously injured or not. The concerned authorities are looking into the matter and an investigation for the same has also started. Nissan GT-R is a popular sportcar around the world. We got the GT-R or Godzilla officially in India only in 2016. As mentioned above, GT-R is an extremely powerful machine. Powering the GT-R is a 3.8 liter twin-turbo V6 making 565 Bhp and 637 Nm. The engine is mated to a 6-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission and power is transmitted to all 4-wheels.
The cost of a brand new Nissan GT-R is over Rs 2 crore. In this case, the Nissan GT-R driver’s overspeeding is said to be the reason for the accident. While driving through public roads, one should follow rules and regulations and also the speed limits. By driving rashly, you are not only putting your own life but also the life of other innocent road users at risk.
