The 1st Safari was delivered to Parmish Verma by Tata Motors. Both the pictures have been clicked at the exact same spot and we can see the same house in the background. The pictures have been uploaded on Instagram by the singer himself and Tata Motors.
In an older photo, in which the Safari Dicor is present the singer says “Trip Down Memory Lane. I Still remember the Emotion, Being Able to Buy My Dream SUV after saving money for Years. The current generation of Safari is powered by a 2.0-litre Kyrotec diesel engine that produces 170 PS of max power and a peak torque output of 350 Nm. It is offered with a 6-speed manual gearbox or a 6-speed torque converter automatic transmission. Whereas, the older Tata Safari Dicor used to come with a 2.2-litre DiCOR diesel engine used to produce 140 PS of max power and a peak torque output of 320 Nm. It came with a 5-speed manual gearbox and it drove the rear wheels. It was also offered with a 4×4 powertrain. When compared the 2021 Safari is a front-wheel-drive SUV which did disappoint a lot of people as the Safari nameplate was known for ruggedness and capabilities till now. However, the new Safari does ride a lot better because it is based on a monocoque chassis instead of a ladder-frame. Also, it handles better and comes with a lot of premium equipment and soft-touch materials throughout the cabin.
