Famous Punjabi singer, actor and director, Parmish Verma shared an old picture of him standing beside his old Safari Dicor and the all-new 2021 Safari 2021. The 1st Safari was delivered to Parmish Verma by Tata Motors. Both the pictures have been clicked at the exact same spot and we can see the same house in the background. The pictures have been uploaded on Instagram by the singer himself and Tata Motors.
In an older photo, in which the Safari Dicor is present the singer says “Trip Down Memory Lane. I Still remember the Emotion, Being Able to Buy My Dream SUV after saving money for Years. The OG |” The singer also used the hashtag ReclaimYourLife and TataSafari which has been the tagline for the Safari. In another post the singer said thanked Tata Motors for delivering the first Safari to him. He also added ““Swipe Left” Same Guy Same House Same Car Just some added Blessings. Thank you to my Fans and Supporters”
“I wanted to own the all-new Tata Safari since its launch announcement. I have been a fan of the Tata Safari since my childhood and was fortunate enough to own the earlier generation Safari too. I am delighted that Tata Motors has brought back the Safari in such a modern avatar & also thankful to Tata Motors for not just quickly delivering the iconic SUV to me but also making me the 1st customer in all of Punjab. The new Safari is modern, stylish and I cannot wait to flaunt my new drive as I take it out to conquer the roads with my family and friends.” Mr. Parmish Verma said after taking the delivery of the first Safari.
The famous singer has bought the top-end XZA+ automatic variant which is the most equipped variant that you can get. It comes with features like Oyster white interiors, touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, Ashwood grey themed dashboard, iRA connected car technology, a huge panoramic sunroof, semi-digital instrument cluster with an analogue speedometer and much more. Tata Motors is also offering captain chairs for the second row, which provides a much more premium experience than having a bench seat for the second-row.
The current generation of Safari is powered by a 2.0-litre Kyrotec diesel engine that produces 170 PS of max power and a peak torque output of 350 Nm. It is offered with a 6-speed manual gearbox or a 6-speed torque converter automatic transmission. Whereas, the older Tata Safari Dicor used to come with a 2.2-litre DiCOR diesel engine used to produce 140 PS of max power and a peak torque output of 320 Nm. It came with a 5-speed manual gearbox and it drove the rear wheels. It was also offered with a 4×4 powertrain. When compared the 2021 Safari is a front-wheel-drive SUV which did disappoint a lot of people as the Safari nameplate was known for ruggedness and capabilities till now. However, the new Safari does ride a lot better because it is based on a monocoque chassis instead of a ladder-frame. Also, it handles better and comes with a lot of premium equipment and soft-touch materials throughout the cabin.
