Continuing on the success of India’s fastest scooter, the SR150, Piaggio has introduced an affordable, smaller 125cc version of the SR as well. Its called the SR125 and at Rs 65,310 (ex-showroom Pune) is priced about Rs 4,000 lower than the SR150 model.
The SR125 makes use of the same design and body work as the SR150. It even uses the same basic analogue speedometer console. The biggest change here is the smaller engine. The 125cc mill puts out 9.6 PS of power and 9.9 Nm of torque. These figures are approximately 8.5% and 13% lower than the SR150 respectively.
The SR125 runs on similar 14″ wheels with 120mm wide tyres. Aprilia has also showcased the Storm SR125 which looks sportier with a rugged design. It runs on smaller 12″ wheels but with taller and dual purpose tyres.
The rear is also wider with a 130mm set-up. Other changes include different paint scheme and a massive windshield. Also on display with a red color Storm SR125.
Aprilia has also updated the SR150 in terms of new color combinations. The Race edition gets new graphics and Aprilia also showcased the ‘Carbon’ edition.
