Police seize 12 cars after farewell party stunt goes viral: Challan worth Rs 2.14 lakh issued [Video]

With the rise in popularity of social media and the trend of ‘being in trend’, the nuisance created by people on the road while driving and performing stunts has also increased. Several instances come our way, in which people perform dangerous stunts or create a nuisance while driving on public roads. One such instance recently surfaced on the internet, in which a group of youth created a ruckus on public roads while driving their vehicles and celebrating their farewell party.

In a YouTube video from Prateek Singh, we have come across an incident in which a group of youngsters from Lakhimpur Kheri, Uttar Pradesh are seen celebrating their farewell day by driving their vehicles recklessly on public roads. After celebrating a farewell party at their school, these youngsters drove on the public roads in the Vinay Green City area of Lakhimpur Kheri.

The video shows how the youngsters are creating a nuisance for other motorists and the general public by driving haphazardly while hanging out of windows and the sunroofs of cars. Several cars like Hyundai Venue, Creta and Aura, Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza, Ertiga and Swift, Toyota Innova and Mahindra Quanto are seen in the video, driven irresponsibly by the bunch of youngsters.

After going viral on social media, a video of these students recklessly caught the attention of many netizens. Most of the people called out these youngsters for creating a ruckus on public roads and trouble for other motorists. Some of these people also held their parents responsible for ‘allowing’ their children to carry out such dangerous acts on public roads.

The video also caught the attention of Uttar Pradesh Police, who immediately took the action and nabbed all the youngsters seen in the video. The police also seized every vehicle involved in making the video and imposed a hefty challan on all of them under Section 207 of the Motor Vehicle Act, which accounts for around Rs 2.14 lakh. The penalty has been imposed on all the owners of the cars involved in this road stunt.

In recent times, the trends of performing car stunts and driving recklessly in public areas are becoming more common than ever before. Various youngsters are performing such dangerous acts to go viral on social media platforms and gain quick fame. However, while doing such acts, they are putting their as well as other people’s lives at risk, which can turn into fatal instances.

Doing any kind of stunts on public roads is illegal and the violators can even go to jail along with paying massive fines. Doing stunts on public roads can land you in a spot due to various reasons. If anyone wants to practice stunting or want to record videos, it should be done on private property such as race tracks and even farmhouses. Also, one should take note that such stunts are extremely dangerous.
