Brave Porsche Supercar Driver Vs Flooded Road: Will He Make It? [Video]

Just a few weeks ago, it was reported that Dubai witnessed the heaviest rainfall in the last 75 years. These floods caused a lot of damage to the city of Dubai, and one of the most significant damages happened to the automobiles of the city. A ton of super-expensive luxury cars got flooded. However, there were some who managed to get saved. Recently, showing one such daring Porsche Taycan electric sedan driver driving through an extremely flooded road has been shared online.
This video of a Porsche Taycan floating and driving through a flooded road has come courtesy of Ahaboff from Instagram. What we can observe in this video is nothing short of hair-raising. This clip starts with a Crayon-colored Porsche Taycan all-electric sedan being in the middle of a fully submerged road.
In the beginning, it seems like the car has been completely flooded and is floating on the road. However, soon after, we can note that somehow all four wheels of this particular Porsche Taycan were in motion. The video then shows that a ton of people on the side of the road were recording the video of this unique spectacle.
Following this, the video then shows that the Taycan was slowly but surely driving on the road. After this, at one point, the Porsche Taycan, despite being half inside the water, managed to make grip on the road. Finally, after some more struggle, the all-electric sedan manages to come out of the flooded road.
The simple answer to this question is NO! Any driver should not attempt to drive their fully electric vehicle on a flooded road, especially when it has a height as low as the Porsche Taycan. The primary reason behind this advice is that water can damage the sensitive electrical components of the vehicle.
These components include the battery, motor, and other electronics. Water can easily cause short circuits and corrosion. And all of these problems can lead to expensive repairs. In the worst-case scenario, they can also make the electric vehicle completely inoperable.
It also has to be noted that water ingress can pose a safety hazard to the occupants of the vehicle. So the best thing to do is to avoid driving any car, including electric vehicles, through deep water.
As mentioned above, the car in the video is a Porsche Taycan. This particular vehicle is an all-electric four-door sedan offered by Porsche. It comes available in four variants: Taycan RWD, Taycan 4S, Taycan Turbo, and Taycan Turbo S. It was launched in India in 2022.
Angel One CMD Dinesh Thakkar was the first person in India to take delivery of this electric sedan in the country. He bought the most expensive Taycan Turbo S variant in the lovely shade of Mamba Green. It has also been optioned with a black roof and dual-tone alloy wheels.
This particular model comes equipped with two electric motors located on both axles. It makes a total of 761 PS of power and 1050 Nm of torque. Apart from Dinesh Thakkar, Music director AR Rahman’s daughter and Malayalam actress Mamta Mohandas also owns this electric sedan.
Just a few days ago, we shared a number of pictures showing millions of dollars worth of and luxury cars completely swamped in mud and dirt. These cars included the extremely rare Lamborghini Sian and Pagani Utopia. There were also multiple Rolls Royce and Mercedes Benz G63 AMGs.
