Pravaig Dynamics, which is a homegrown brand revealed their first electric vehicle, the Pravaig Extinction. It is an all-new electric sedan, which has now been spotted on Indian roads. The new EV will be launched in the Indian market next year. Initially, the Extinction will be only available in Delhi and Bengaluru. Cities like Mumbai, Chennai and Hyderabad are under the next phase of expansion and will join the list later on.
There is not much known about the pricing of the new electric sedan. However, we expect that there will be chauffeur services, subscription services and lease offers that Pravaig will be offering. The homegrown manufacturer has used over ninety percent of components that are built in India. So, the rate of localization is high which should control the costs of the vehicle. The pictures here have been posted on the Facebook page of Car Crazy India. We can see that the sedan is parked in some of the pictures and there is one picture where we can see that the Extinction is being driven. So, we know that prototype is now functional and the manufacturer has made some significant progress.
Pravaig Extinction will be powered by a 96 kWh battery pack. The battery pack powers an electric motor that churns out 150 kWh of maximum power which should be around 200 PS. That is a significant power output, which we have seen on full-size SUVs such as the MG Gloster. Because of all this power, the Pravaig Extinction can hit a ton in just 5.4 seconds! The battery pack supports fast charging technology. So, the battery can hit upto 80 percent from zero in just 30 minutes. There is still no official information regarding the charging network that Pravaig will be using. Also, India lacks when it comes to charging infrastructure. So, this is one of the things that the Indian manufacturer would need to figure out before launching the electric sedan in the market.

Pravaig wants to offer luxurious features of the Mercedes-Benz S-Class in the Extinction with performance levels of a Tesla. However, the performance times of the Tesla Model S which is the premium sedan from Tesla can hit a ton in just 2.4 seconds. So, Pravaig would still need to work on the performance of the Extinction. The homegrown manufacturer has not yet revealed the interior of the sedan. However, they claim that the cabin will offer a lounge-like experience. The cabin of the new vehicle has been designed with the help of fashion designers, interior design professionals and architects whereas the music system has been designed by Devialet Audi Technology which is a France-based manufacturer.
Speaking of the exterior, the Extinction looks futuristic with its sleek LED projector headlamps and a continuous LED light bar that connects both the headlamps just like we have seen on the recently launched Volkswagen Golf. From the rear, we can see that the design is very minimalist with only three horizontal light sleek light slabs being placed. The design seems very aerodynamic and Pravaig will be offering the Extinction as a four-door which means rear occupants would be able to get inside easily. Currently, there are not many electric vehicles in India. There is the Tata Nexon EV, MG ZS EV, Mercedes-Benz EQC and the Hyundai Kona Electric.
