Maruti has made cosmetic changes to the car to give it a fresh look. There are several accessories and modification options already available for XL6 and Ertiga in the market. Some of them have been featured on our website as well. Here we have a video where a pre-facelift Maruti Suzuki XL6 has been neatly modified into a 2022 facelift version.
The video has been uploaded by VIG AUTO ACCESSORIES on their YouTube channel. In this video, vlogger talks about all the changes that he and his team did to the car to make it look like a 2022 facelift model. He mentions that the owner of this Maruti XL6 has driven the car all the from Chhattisgarh to Mumbai for this modification work. Starting with the front, the front grille on the XL6 was replaced with an original unit from the 2022 version.
As the dimensions of the XL6 have not changed, the grille fits perfectly on the MPV. The all-LED headlamps, LED DRLs and LED fog lamps are all retained. The front bumper and lower silver skid plate on the XL6 are retained. Coming to the side profile, the pre-facelift XL6 used to come with 15 inch blacked out alloy wheels. Those wheels have been replaced with 16 inch dual tone diamond cut wheels from the 2022 version. The car is finished in dual-tone and the new wheels have completely changed the overall stance.
As we move to the rear, the stock tail lamps on the MPV have been replaced with smoked LED units from the 2022 version. The panel on the boot with chrome garnish has also been installed. Other than this, no other major changes have been made to the car. The car was now looking like a 2022 version of XL6 from every angle. It looks like the owner of this XL6 did not wanted to customise the interiors of the MUV. The car looks neat on the outside. Maruti updated the XL6 this year and it comes with more features. The MPV is now comes with features like 360 degree camera, updated touchscreen infotainment system, automatic climate control, leather seat covers, ventilated seats and so on.
Maruti XL6 is actually a much more premium version of the Ertiga which Maruti sells through Arena. Maruti does not offer diesel engines with any of their models in the market. The XL6 is no exception. In fact, it cam with a petrol engine from the start. The car is powered by a 1.5 litre naturally aspirated petrol engine that generates 105 Ps and 136 Nm of peak torque. The engine is offered with a 5-speed manual and a 6-speed automatic transmission. The 6-speed automatic transmission replaced the old 4-speed unit.
