Pre-facelift Toyota Innova Crysta modified into facelifted version [Video]

Toyota Innova Crysta is currently one of the most popular MPVs in its segment. Toyota Innova is a popular model from the Japanese car manufacturer in India. It is popular among buyers for its comfortable ride, spacious cabin, comparatively low cost of maintenance and a reliable engine. Last year, Toyota launched the facelift for Toyota in the market with minor exterior design changes. Aftermarket accessories for Toyota Innova are already available in the market and here we have a video where a pre-facelift Innova Crysta is modified to look like the facelifted model.

The video has been uploaded by Autorounders on their YouTube channel. The video starts with vlogger explaining how the car looked when it had arrived at the workshop and he also talks about the work that was done on it. He mentions that just by changing couple of panels, any pre-facelift Innova Crysta can be updated or customised to look like the current version. The original colour of the Innova Crysta was Grey. There were several dents and scratches on the car.

They marked the area where the dents and scratches were seen. The dents were corrected using a dent puller machine and paint from the areas where scratches were seen were removed. Once the dents and scratches were corrected, they started applying putty on the body panels. A thin layer of putty gave an even finish to the body and also levelled the dents and scratches. The whole car received a primer after the excess putty from the body was removed.

After the primer application, the car was taken to the paint booth, where the whole car was painted. Owner had opted for a premium quality White paint which looks extremely good on Innova Crysta. While this work was being done, the stock bumper and grille along with the headlamps were removed and replaced with units that are seen in the facelifted version. The headlamps remain the same as before. As we move to the rear, the stock tail lamps have been replaced with aftermarket LED tail lamps. There is an matrix style LED bar on the tail gate that connects both the tail lamps.

Coming back to the paint job, the new bumper was also repainted to get an even finish. The whole car was finished in Pearl White shade which looks good. The area under the bonnets, tail gate, doors were all carefully painted so that the paint does not look odd or reveal the Grey colour. The alloy wheels on this Toyota Innova Crysta remains the same. Instead of Silver colour, they were now painted in Grey finish which goes well with the overall look of the car.

The Innvoa Crysta seen here is already the top-end model and it offered all the features. So nothing was changed on the inside. The quality of paint used and the finish is excellent and it looks like a new Toyota Innova Crysta. Toyota Innova Crysta is available with both petrol and diesel engine option and both petrol and diesel are offered with manual and automatic transmission.
