Premier Padmini with customised exterior by DC2 looks unique

DC2 is a popular name in the vehicle customisation industry in India. They are known for customising the interiors of MPVs, SUVs, and even 4x4s. DC2 completely transforms the regular-looking interior of a car into a completely premium one. We have seen examples of Toyota Innova MPVs with DC customised interiors. Along with interiors, DC also modifies the exterior on some of their project cars. DC2 may be good at customising the interiors however, we cannot say the same about exterior of these cars. We have seen several DC2 modified vehicles with odd or weird-looking exteriors. It looks like DC2 is currently working on Premier Padmini for a client and they have shared images of the same online.

The images have been shared by DC2 Dilip Chhabria on their official Facebook Page. The post on their page mentions that this is one of a kind project for a client where they will be restoring and redesigning the whole sedan. The images shared here are actually digitally rendered ones and the finished product might have some changes. We’ll start with the exterior of this Premier Padmini first. The boxy design of this compact sedan has been slightly altered to make it look more stylish without losing its character.

The bonnet has been redesigned and so is the front grille. The grille is chrome unit with projector headlamps on either sides. There are no badges or logos seen on the bonnet and grille of the car. The front bumper has been redesigned and the metal chrome bumper is now integrated into it. Coming to the side profile, the sedan looks different from the stock car with a chrome belt running through the center of the doors. This is probably where the door handles have been integrated. The windows look large and the wheel arches in this render look large too.

The steel rims on the stock car has been replaced with spoke wheels. We are still not sure whether these wheels would still be there with the finished project. The roof line of the car is slightly sloping toward the rear and it meets the boot with all LED aftermarket tail lamps. Just like at the front, the rear bumper has been redesigned too. As mentioned above, DC2 is known for customising exterior and interior of the car. The images shared here on the page however only show how the exterior would look like. We are sure, the client would have opted for interior customisations too.

The simple-looking dashboard and cabin of this Premier Padmini would be transformed into something more modern. It will probably be loaded with features like premium quality leather upholstery, ambient lights, a touchscreen infotainment screen, steering wheel with control and so on. Normally DC2 comes with a very odd-looking design for the exterior of the cars that they design. In this case, the redesigned exterior does not look too bad in fact the car does look inspired from James Bond’s Aston Martin DB5. The car looks different without losing its character.
