Saran Samiappan wants the community to help him decide which small car will suit his needs the best. He has a budget of Rs. 4-4.5 lakh, is 6 foot tall and drives around 100 kms in a day. What car do you think he should go for?
Well Saran has also mentioned that he is not a regular driver and drives only two to three times in a week, hence buying a diesel car is not an option for him.
Saran has shortlisted the Hyundai Eon, Chevrolet Spark, Maruti Suzuki Estilo and Wagon-R as his primary choices. He is not interested in the Hyundai Santro, Maruti Suzuki Alto K10, Tata Nano or the Maruti Suzuki A-Star.
He has both Maruti Suzuki and Chevrolet service stations near his place of residence and hence will be more comfortable with these two brands.
The Chevrolet Spark 1.0 LT has a claimed mileage of 18 kmpl and costs Rs. 3.86 lakh ex-showroom Bangalore. The Maruti Zen Estilo VXI which has a mileage of 19 kmpl will set him back buy around Rs. 4.20 lakh, while the Maruti Suzuki Wagon-R VXI has a mileage of 19 kmpl and costs Rs. 3.97 lakh.
Since Saran is tall, the Wagon-R and Estilo with their tall boy designs are probably the best bet for him as far as space is concerned. Moreover since Saran lives close to a Maruti Service centre it will make complete sense. The Spark is smaller than the Wagon-R and Estilo but is a much cuter looking car.
