Bollywood Actor, Rakhi Sawant has received a BMW X1 SUV from her friends, Shelly Lather and Adil Khan Durrani. The video was shared by Rakhi Sawant on her Instagram account in which we can see her holding the keys to the new SUV while cutting a BMW-themed cake.

Rakhi’s BMW X1 is of the first generation that was sold in India from 2010 to 2012. The SUV is finished in red. It is powered by a 2.0-litre, four-cylinder petrol engine that produces 150 hp of max power and 200 Nm of peak torque. It comes mated to an automatic transmission. This engine had a claimed fuel efficiency of 11.25 kmpl. It could hit a ton in 10.4 seconds.

At that time, the X1 started at Rs. 25.65 lakhs ex-showroom. Rakhi Sawant’s X1 is the sDrive 18i variant which is the base variant. There were two other variants on offer also. There was sDrive 20d and sDrive 20d Exclusive.
Rakhi Sawant also owns Maruti Suzuki Baleno
Besides, the new X1, Rakhi Sawant also owns a previous generation of Baleno. She has been spotted in the premium hatchback multiple times, the Baleno is finished in Fire Red colour. It is the Zeta variant that sits below the top-end Alpha variant. It is powered by the 1.2-litre K-Series petrol engine.
Maruti Suzuki launched new Baleno
Maruti Suzuki recently launched the new generation of the Baleno. It looks very different from the model that it replaces. The 2022 Baleno looks sporty because Maruti Suzuki is no longer using curvy design elements. The interior has also been redone. It gets a new instrument cluster, new steering wheel, new dashboard and a new touchscreen infotainment system.
It also gets a new 1.2-litre DualJet VVT petrol engine that produces 90 PS of max power and 113 Nm of peak torque. It is offered with a 5-speed manual gearbox or a 5-speed AMT. Maruti Suzuki will soon offer a CNG powertrain soon.
New-gen BMW X1
The first gen of the X1 had a mixed response because it did not stand out on the road, the bonnet was unusually long and was basically considered a compact SUV. After several facelifts, the X1 has come a long way and it looks good and attractive. It now starts at Rs. 39.90 lakhs ex-showroom and goes up to Rs. 43.5 lakhs ex-showroom.
Variants and engines
It is offered in two variants. There is SportX, Tech Edition and xLine. There are two engines on offer, petrol and diesel. Both have a displacement of 2.0-litres. The petrol engine produces 192 PS of max power and 280 Nm of peak torque. It comes mated to a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission. Then there is the diesel engine that produces 190 PS of max power and 400 Nm of peak torque. It comes mated to an 8-speed torque converter automatic transmission.

BMW X1 competes directly against Volvo XC40, Audi Q3 and Mercedes-Benz GLA.
