Rally-kitted VW Polo is total HOTNESS

Though India is not exactly a car-crazy country, there are a few true blue enthusiasts willing to go the extra mile to make their rides stand out. This Volkswagen Polo owner is one such person. The custom build has been carried out by Autoworx Cochin and we must add that they have done a wonderful job. The inspiration for this Polo comes from the WRC (World Rally Championship) spec Polo.

There are a lot of visual upgrades done to the car. It now receives a custom paint job, 17 inch rims, Bilstein suspension and a lowered stance. The stock headlamps make way for projectors, and an LED cluster adds visual appeal. The front bumper has been replaced by a WRC styled bumper with a front lip, large air vents and a custom fog designed fog lamps.

The grill has been replaced with a single slat R line one keeping in line with whole theme of the car, while the bonnet gets hood scoops as well. On the flanks, the main differentiating elements are the front and rear flared fenders, along with the air vents inside them. The roof gets a large scoop, which is actually used for ventilation in rally cars.

At the back there is a massive spoiler and a reworked rear bumper with a diffuser.

This Polo is one of the very few 1.6 liter petrol Polos in the country. The engine used to put out 103 Bhp and 153 Nm. This one however has been remapped and sports a custom exhaust system as well to make everyone aware of your arrival.

On the inside, there is a custom made roll cage along with Bride racing seats seats. The whole body kit should cost you some where around Rs 3 lakh. However, if you want to go for all the mods then that will set you back by a massive Rs 8.5 lakhs. Of course, this doesn’t include the cost of the donor car.
