Famous television actor Ram Kapoor who is known for Bade Acche Lagte Hain TV serial has just bought a Porsche 911 Carrera S sports car. The sports car costs Rs. 1.84 Crores before taxes. The 911 is finished in Blue colour. The post was shared by Porsche India on Instagram that showed Ram Kapoor with his new 911.
The actor also has other expensive cars such as a BMW X5 and a Mercedes-Benz G63 AMG. He also likes riding motorcycles. He owns a Harley Davidson, BMW GS and an Indian. The Carrera S is a more powerful version of the base Carrera variant.
It has a 3.0-litre flat-six boxer petrol engine that has been twin-turbocharged. The engine can produce 450 PS of max power and a peak torque output of 530 Nm. The engine can hit a redline of 7,500 rpm. The top speed of the Carrera S is 308 kmph. It comes mated to an 8-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox that drives the rear wheels. The PDK automatic gearbox that Porsche uses is one of the fastest shifting dual-clutch gearboxes. There are also paddle shifters mounted behind the steering wheel so that the driver can change the gears himself.

Because of the unique rear-engine layout the 911 Carrera S can hit a ton in just 3.7 seconds. In this layout, the engine is placed above the rear wheels. The weight of the engine pushes the tyres into the ground which helps in increasing the traction.
Braking duties are done by 6 piston calipers in the front and 4 piston calipers at the rear. The front wheels measure 20-inches while the rear ones measure 21-inches. Being a Porsche, there are several options that you can choose from. You can get the 911 with a Sport Suspension which lowers the vehicle by a further 10 mm, you can also get dynamic chassis control.

There is also an option of rear-wheel steering. In this, the rear wheel turns in the same direction as the front wheels when you are driving at slow speeds. This effectively reduces the wheelbase and can help in making tight U-turns or manoeuvring in parking lots. When you are driving at a high speed, the rear wheels can turn in the same direction as the front wheels. This effectively increases the wheelbase and provides better grip and stability when you are cornering at high speeds.
There is also a rear spoiler that deploys automatically when you cross a certain speed. The door handles sit flush with the bodywork when the vehicle is moving or locked. This helps in smoothening out the airflow.

You get LED headlamps with four LED spotlights that are used as Daytime Running Lamps. It also comes with cruise control, central locking, dual-zone climate control, keyless GO, front and rear parking sensors with camera, multi-function steering wheel, touchscreen infotainment system with premium sound system and much more. Porsche has kept their heritage with an analogue tachometer in the centre but they have also given two digital screens that sit beside the tachometer.
