Rare Footage Of Bollywood Actor Shahrukh Khan Driving His Mitsubishi Pajero SFX [Video]

Shahrukh Khan, also known as “King Khan” of Bollywood has a long list of vehicles. His first car was a humble Maruti Omni which was gifted to him by his mother. Needless to say, that car holds a special place in his heart. But now, King Khan or SRK owns a number of SUVs and other luxury vehicles. However, here we have a rare video in which he is spotted driving his Mitsubishi Pajero SFX.

The video is uploaded on YouTube by Wild Films India. You might think that what is special about Shahrukh Khan is driving a Pajero SFX. Well, this footage is of the time when Pajero SFX was still not launched in India. So, either Shahrukh Khan imported the vehicle from some foreign country or bought it from someone.

Before Mitsubishi officially launched the Pajero SFX officially in the Indian market, it was a rare sighting. The SUV was mostly used by rich and famous people who could afford to import one to India. Usually, the SUV was imported from Japan. The reason behind this is that Japan’s vehicles are also right-hand drive so importing their vehicles is not a big issue.

Most people bought the Pajero for its rugged looks and reliable nature. It was mostly barre bone, in fact, it had fewer features than some of the compact SUVs that are currently on sale in our country.

Eventually, Mitsubishi did bring the Pajero SFX officially into the Indian market. It was available with a 2.8-litre diesel engine that produced 120 bhp of max power and 280 Nm of peak torque. The engine came mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox. There was also 4×4 and a low-range gearbox on offer.

Then Bharat Stage 4 emission norms were implemented and Mitsubishi had to detune Pajero’s diesel engine to make it compliant with the new emission norms. The engine now produced 108 bhp of max power but the torque output stayed the same at 280 Nm. The SUV was discontinued a few years back but when it was still on sale here, Mitsubishi used to import kits through the completely knocked down (CKD) kits of the Pajero.

Shahrukh Khan’s 7 Series on sale

A BMW 7 Series that was once owned by Shahrukh Khan was on sale last year. It is a 2012 model and is the 740Li variant. We know that the luxury sedan once belonged to Shahrukh Khan because of the number plate that reads “555”.

Back when it was new, it was priced around Rs. 1.2 Crores ex-showroom. It is equipped with a 3.0-litre, inline six-cylinder petrol engine that is twin-turbocharged.
