In 2012, the Renault Duster was the first SUV that started the era of the compact crossovers in India. Until then, the Indian car market played host to larger SUVs such as the Tata Safari and the Mahindra Scorpio. Now though, it is the likes of the Renault Duster and the Ford EcoSport that are dominating sales charts. It was exactly two years ago that the Duster was launched in India, and the SUV’s dream run has continued ever since. To mark the SUV’s 2nd birthday, Renault has launched the 2nd anniversary edition of the Duster, priced at Rs. 8.88 lakhs, ex-showroom Delhi.
The special pricing of the limited edition Duster is valid till the 20th of July. Coming to feature list of the limited edition of the compact crossover, it gets the following features:

The limited edition has been launched only in diesel guise as it diesel powered models bring in the majority of the volumes. The diesel engine is a 1.5 liter K9K turbocharged unit which has proven its worth in different states of tune, across a wide array of cars. The engine has a power output of 84 Bhp and a peak torque output of 200 Nm in the 2nd anniversary edition of the Duster.
The diesel motor has an ARAI claimed fuel efficiency of 20.45 kmpl and is able to deliver about 14-15 kmpl in real world conditions. To capitalize on the Duster’s success, Renault India has been launching quite a few special edition versions of the SUV. The Duster is also sold with a petrol engine and the K9K turbo diesel engine in a higher (108 Bhp-248 Nm) state of tune.
