Renault Duster Limited Edition SUV launched in India

Renault India has just launched a limited edition version of the hot selling Duster SUV. The special edition Duster has been launched to mark the 1 lakh unit sales mark of the SUV in India, in less than 2 years of its launch here. The Duster limited Edition  is priced at 9.99 lakh rupees, ex-showroom Delhi and this model will be on sale throughout the month of June. The limited edition version of the Duster is based on the RxL Plus 85 PS trim and is diesel powered. Renault has given the Duster’s most popular engine option the limited edition treatment as it is the 85 PS variant that sells the most.

The SUV features the 1.5 liter-4 cylinder K9K turbo diesel engine in 84 Bhp-200 Nm state of tune. A five speed manual gearbox drives the front wheels of the SUV. The Duster gets a beige trim on the inside. Steering column mounted audio controls, a stereo system with USB and AUX support, twin airbags and ABS+EBD come standard. However, Renault India has not revealed the actual feature additions on the limited edition model, although it does claim that the new variant will be a “feature rich” model. With that, we expect the limited edition version of the Duster to hit dealerships soon.

A new variant of the Duster will arrive into India by the end of the year. The new Duster variant’s USP will be its go-anywhere nature, on the back of the 4X4 system that Renault will add to the SUV this winter. The Duster 4X4 will be powered by the 1.5 liter diesel engine in 108 Bhp-248 Nm state of tune, and will feature a 6 speed manual gearbox. The Duster 4X4 – in right hand drive guise – is already being exported to the United Kingdom, from Renault India’s Oragadam factory. Therefore, adding the new variant to the Duster range should be straight forward affair as far as Renault India is concerned.
