Upcoming 2019 Renault Duster: Watch it drift on snow [Video]

Renault will launch the all-new Duster in the Indian market later this year. The all-new Duster is already on sale in the international markets under the Dacia brand, which is the low-cost subsidiary of the French manufacturer Renault. Here is a review of the Renault Duster from Finland, which shows the Duster AWD having fun on the snow.

The all-new Duster is bigger than the current-generation Duster in the Indian market. As per the review, the all-new Duster looks heavily inspired by the current generation of the Duster but overall, it looks much better and utilitarian. However, inside, the all-new Duster continues to get the rough plastic bits that are present in the current generation of the SUV too. But the plastic bits allow the Duster to be more rugged from the inside, which will not get scratched or damaged easily. The all-new Duster also offers new air vents and a new central console that looks much premium than the current version. The AC controls have integrated LCDs that display the temperature or mode of the airflow.

The all-new Duster continues to offer AWD system just as the current version of the vehicle. However, we are sure if the version will come to India as the demand for AWD vehicles is deficient in the Indian market.

In the review, the vehicle was taken to a closed track covered in snow. The vehicle can be seen drifting around the course, and the review reveals that the new power steering system makes handling the vehicle much easier and it goes around the corners extremely well. The video also shows vehicle going around the snow-covered corners of the track while drifting and the vehicle always looked like in control.

Apart from the handling, the review also talks about the ample boot space and the new-age infotainment system, which is easy to use and gets smartphone connectivity options like the Android Auto and the Apple CarPlay. The all-new Duster is expected to be launched in the Indian market later this year, and it will take on the likes of Hyundai Creta and newly-launched Nissan Kicks.

Renault has not officially said anything about the launch of the all-new Duster in the Indian market yet. The all-new SUV is expected to be powered by the same 1.5-litre diesel and 1.5-litre petrol engine options that power the current version of the Duster too. The torque-convertor automatic transmission will be available with the petrol engine option while the diesel will continue to get the 6-speed AMT automatic transmission. The manual transmission will be standard with both the engine options.

The all-new Duster is expected to be launched in the Indian market before the end of this year. Due to the upcoming safety rules, the new Duster will offer safety features like ABS+EBD, rear parking sensors, speed alert and front seatbelt alerts as standard across the models. The launch is expected to happen at around the festive season.
