Renault Kiger compact SUV modified with 17 inch alloy wheels

Earlier this year,  Renault launched their sub-4 meter compact SUV Kiger in the market. The SUV competes with cars like Nissan Magnite, Maruti Brezza, Hyundai Venue, Kia Sonet, Tata Nexon and Mahindra XUV300 in the segment. It is currently the most affordable sub-4 meter compact SUV in the country. Renualt Kiger is now quite popular for various reasons like price and design and it is now a commonly spotted car on the road. Aftermarket accessories have already arrived in the market and many have also started modifying their SUVs. Here we have a Renualt Kiger SUV that gets 17 inch aftermarket alloy wheels installed.

The video has been uploaded by Mukesh Auto Vlog on their YouTube channel. This is probably the first Renault Kiger video on the internet where it gets 17 inch alloy wheels. Video claims that it is the first Kiger in the country to get such modification. From the video it is evident that this is not a base variant Renault Kiger. The SUV gets LED headlamps, LED DRLs and integrated turn indicators in them.

Just adding the 17 inch alloy wheel has actually changed the stance of the car. It now looks taller than the stock version, thanks to the new set of wheels. The 5 spokes brushed single tone alloy wheels are wrapped with low profile tyres. The car looks good on these wheels but, we are not sure whether we can say the same about the ride quality and handling of this SUV.

The Renault Kiger comes with disc brakes at the front. The brake calipers have been painted Red which adds sporty touch to the car. Renault Kiger gets a design that is actually inspired from Renault Kwid and Triber. The front grille is similar to what we have seen in Triber and the LED DRLs which actually look like an extension of the grille look like the one seen in Kwid. The headlights are placed on the bumper and it gets an ice cube shape design to it. The front of the Kiger looks muscular from all the angles and has that SUV look to it.

It gets C-shaped tail lamps, roof rails and rugged looking rear bumper too. Inside, Kiger gets a simple looking cabin with features like a touchscreen infotainment screen that supports Android Auto and Apple CarPlay wirelessly. It gets a multi function steering wheel, automatic climate control, rear AC vents, fully digital instrument cluster and so on. It even comes with drive modes which can be selected using the rotary knob on the center console.

Renault Kiger is offered with two engine options, both petrol. There is a 1.0 litre, three cylinder naturally aspirated petrol engine which generates 72 Ps and 96 Nm of torque. This engine is available with a manual and an AMT gearbox option. The next engine on offer is a 10.0 litre, three cylinder turbo petrol engine that generates 100 Ps and 160 Nm of torque. Renault recently announced that Kiger’s turbo petrol engine is the most fuel efficient sub-4 meter SUV in the segment. The car comes with a manual and a CVT gearbox option.
