Sub-4 meter compact SUV segment is one of the most popular vehicle segment in India. The SUV competes with cars like recently launched Nissan Magnite, Hyundai Venue, Maruti Brezza, Kia Sonet, Tata Nexon, Mahindra XUV300 and Ford EcoSport. Renault Kiger became popular among buyers in a short span of time and the main reason behind it is its price tag.
Renault Kiger is currently the most affordable sub-4 meter compact SUV one can buy in India. Even the top-end variant costs under Rs 10 lakh, ex-showroom. If you are a person who like to customise the vehicle to your taste, then Renault is offering a range of accessories with the SUV. Here we have set of images that show a Kiger with customised interiors from dealer.
There are two types of customisations seen in these images. The first one has more of a brown shade whereas the second one has a beige shade. Starting with the brown one, the dealer has made several changes inside the cabin to give it a premium look. The all black dashboard on the Kiger has been customised. It now gets faux wooden panel insert running from one end to the other.
A portion of the center console has been painted in brown as well. Coming to the doors, the door pads get brown coloured padding with wooden finished door handles. The armrest on the door also receives a black leather padding on it. All the doors have been treated the same way. The steering wheel on this Renault Kiger also gets a black and brown steering cover with contrast stitching.
Renault Kiger only comes with fabric seats in all variants. The seats now get a brown coloured leather seat cover. The seat cover has diamond patterns on it. Even the armrest on the rear seat has been covered in a similar material.
Coming to the next Renault Kiger, it gets a beige coloured interior. The dashboard again gets a faux wooden panel running across the width of the cabin. Instead of brown, this Kiger gets beige colour inside the cabin. The center console gets a beige coloured phone tray and the door also gets beige coloured padding on the door. Wooden panel inserts can be seen here on the door handle as well.
The seats get beige and black seat covers which look premium. The seat covers fit perfectly and even the armrest both at the front and rear have been covered in beige colour upholstery. Even the pillars inside the cabin get a beige shade. These accessories are not aftermarket and are done from dealer end only. The cost of modifying the interior of a Renault Kiger like this is around Rs 35,000.
Renault Kiger is available with two engine options and they are both petrol. There is a 1.0 litre, 3-cylinder, naturally aspirated petrol engine that generates 72 Ps and 96 Nm of peak torque. This engine is available with 5-speed manual and a 5-speed AMT gearbox option. The next engine option is a 1.0 litre turbocharged unit which generates 100 Ps and 160 Nm of torque.
