Renault revealed the all-new Kiger for the global market from India recently. The all-new Kiger will be Renault’s first-ever sub-4m compact SUV in the market and will take on the highly competitive and successful vehicles like the Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza, Hyundai Venue, Tata Nexon and even the newly launched Nissan Magnite. In fact, the Kiger and the Magnite share the same platform. To be successful in the cut-throat competition, Renault has decided to put an attractive price tag on the Kiger and the base model is the most affordable that you can buy in the market. The price starts at Rs 5.45 lakh for the base variant while the top-end version costs Rs 9.55 lakh.
The Kiger is based on the same modified version of the CMF-A+ platform that also underpins the Magnite. There are four variants on the offer – RXE, RXL, RXT and the RXZ, which is the top-end version of the car. Below is the detailed price for each variant.

There are two engine options available with the all-new Kiger. Renault offers the 1.0-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine that generates a maximum power of 70 Bhp and 96 Nm. It will get a five-speed manual transmission and an AMT automatic transmission. The more powerful variants will get the 1.0-litre turbocharged petrol engine with an output of 90 Bhp and peak torque of 160 Nm. There are the 5-speed manual as well as the CVT automatic transmission available with this motor.
The Kiger offers different driving modes as well. There is Eco, Sport and Normal. As per the official figures, the turbocharged petrol manual returns a maximum of 20 km/l. Coming to space, the Kiger offers segment-best boot space of 405 litres. Renault also claims that the Kiger has a massive storage capacity with 29.1 litres of storage available inside the cabin while 10.5-litre of storage available in the glove box. The car gets a ground clearance of 205mm.
Renault offers the Kiger with six paint schemes. There are Ice Cool White, Planet Grey, Moonlight Grey, Mahagony Brown, Caspian Blue and Radiant Red with Mystery Black Roof. The last colour option is only available with the top-end variant. Renault will offer the two-tone colour option across the variants. There is a host of accessories that you can choose from at the dealerships for the Kiger.
The Kiger is quite loaded with features too. It gets a floating-type infotainment system with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. The car also gets an all-digital instrument cluster, multi-functional steering wheel, all-LED headlamps with the top-end version, Arkamys sound system, four airbags and more. Renault will also offer features like a wireless phone charger and a cabin air purifier as optional accessories that you can choose at the dealerships while buying the car.
