Renault launched the all-new sub-4 meter compact SUV Kiger a few days ago. The Kiger competes with cars like Nissan Magnite, Maruti Brezza, Hyundai Venue, Tata Nexon, Mahindra XUV300 and Ford EcoSport in the segment. Prices for Renault Kiger start at Rs 5.45 lakh, ex-showroom and even the top-end variant is priced just under Rs 10 lakh, ex-showroom. Renault has already started accepting bookings and the deliveries are expected to commence soon. The Kiger has already started reaching dealerships and along with that Renault has also announced a list of official accessories that will be available with the compact SUV.
Renault is offering accessories pack under the name – Smart pack, Smart+ pack, Attractive pack, SUV pack, and essential pack. In Smart pack, it offers front parking sensors, trunk or boot light, luggage compartment light and armrest console organiser. The Smart+ offers additional features other than the ones offered with Smart pack. Smart+ pack gets wireless phone charger, air purifier, ambient lighting and puddle lamps.
Third is the attractive pack and as the name suggests, it offers accessories to make the exterior look lot more premium. In this pack, it gets chrome garnishes for front grille, DRLs, ORVMs, window frame, front bumper, tail gate, rear bumper, C-Pillar and so on. Essential pack offers accessories like carpets, mats, car covers, mud flaps, bumper corner protectors. The SUV pack offers accessories to make it more SUV like by offering skid plates at front, cladding for boot, door scuttles, side body cladding etc. All these accessory packs can be bought from the dealerships.

Kiger SUV is actually a good looking SUV in this segment. Design of Kiger is actually a combination of Triber and Kwid. The front grille is inspired from Triber whereas the LED DRLs and turn indicators that act as an extension of the grille are similar to what we have seen in Kwid. The headlamps are placed on the bumper and they get a very unique tri-pod design to it. On to the side profile, the blacked out ORVMs, roof with functional roof rails can be seen .Kiger comes with a set of beautiful looking 16 inch alloy wheels that enhance the SUV look of the car.
At the rear, Kiger gets roof mounted split spoiler with high mounted stop lamps in the center. The tail light gets a ‘C’ shape and there is Kiger branding along with Renault logo on the boot. The rear bumper looks muscular on Kiger just like at the front. On the inside, it gets a cabin with touchscreen infotainment screen, multi function steering wheel, digital instrument cluster, rear AC vents, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay connectivity, wireless phone charger (higher variant) and so on.
Kiger is available with two engine options. There is a 1.0 litre naturally aspirated petrol engine that generates 72 Ps and 96 Nm of peak torque. This engine is available with a 5-speed manual and 5-speed AMT gearbox option. The next engine on offer is a 1.0 litre, three, cylinder turbo petrol engine that generates 100 PS and 160 Nm of torque. This engine is available with manual and CVT gearbox option.
