There are several review, ownership and modification videos available for both the SUVs online but, here we have a video where Nissan Magnite and Renault Kiger are seen competing against each other in a drag race.

The video has been uploaded by Aayush ssm on their YouTube channel. The video starts with vloggers comparing power and torque figures of both the SUVs are sharing the plan for the video. Four races are conducted in two rounds to get a clear picture about the performance of the SUV. Vlogger was driving the Nissan Magnite and Renault Kiger was driven by his friend.

The SUVs were lined up and the race started. Both Renault Kiger and Nissan Magnite moved off the start line at almost the same time. In comparison to Renault Kiger, Nissan Magnite had a lot more wheel spin. Due to less wheel spin, Renault Kiger had initial advantage and it immediately took the lead. By the time Nissan Magnite managed to gain traction, Kiger was ahead of it but, as the car shifted to second gear, Nissan Magnite gained speed and took the lead but, in third gear vlogger can be heard saying that it felt like there was not enough power and Kiger took the lead.

However by the time both the cars hit 100 kmph mark, Magnite was in the lead and managed to win it. The second race also had similar results as both SUVs kept on switching pole position till the finish line. After the second race, vloggers bring the SUV back to start line and swap vehicles.

Vlogger was now driving the Renualt Kiger. The race started and surprisingly, Renualt Kiger instantly left Magnite behind and retained the lead throughout the race. Vlogger then mentions that the Magnite has been used a lot and the tyres have started loosing grip while Kiger is an all-new car and it offers ample amount of grip. Vlogger maintained the grip and won the race.

In the fourth race, Renault Kiger had the advantage of additional grip and that was visible in the results. The car got a better launch and moved off the line more aggressively. Magnite won the first round and the Kiger took the second round. If Magnite also had better set of tyres, then the results might have been close.

Turbo petrol versions of both the SUVs are available with manual and CVT gearbox options. The one seen in the video are manual versions.
