With the ongoing festive season, the car manufacturers are looking to capture as much audience as possible. In a similar bid, Renault has launched the Adventure Edition of the new Duster. The car comes with many cosmetic changes on the outside and the inside and priced from Rs. 9.64 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi).
The exterior of the Adventure Edition looks tougher with chrome appliqués at front and grille finished in gloss black paint. The car also features a body cladding all around the vehicle. To announce its presence, Adventure Edition also gets a decal on the D-pillar with the new branding. Other standard features include contrasting yellow coloured side skid plate and roof rails. The Adventure Edition will be offered in two colour options – Outback Bronze and Slate Grey.
The interiors get some radical additions like denim upholstery that also get zips, the doors get new black fabric inserts. The steering is now leather wrapped and there are similar contrasting yellow highlights on the air vents and the central instrument cluster. The special edition also gets the “Adventure” branded steering wheel and floor mats. Standard equipment list includes steering-mounted audio controls and touch screen infotainment system. The 108.5 BHP powered Duster gets inbuilt navigation system too.
There is also an optional accessory from Renault called the SmartDrive. Through this, the car will get a Bluetooth dongle that will feed live data from the car to the users. It will also work as a security app providing important features like Geo fencing.
Renault has not done any changes to the engine that continues to be the 1.5-litre dCi diesel engine. Just the regular car, the Adventure Edition also comes in two state of tunes – 108.5 BHP and 83.8 BHP. The petrol variant does not get the new edition. Also, the higher powered variant is only available with AWD option and the AMT is not available.
