Renault launches Duster Sandstorm edition in India

Renault has launched the Duster Sandstorm just before the start of the festive season. The Sandstorm is a special edition vehicle and comes with many as many as 9 new features. The vehicle is available with both 85 PS and 110 PS versions. Renault has introduced the vehicles at Rs. 10.9 lakh for the 85 PS version and Rs. 11.7 lakh for the 110 PS version. Both the prices are ex-showroom, Delhi.

Commenting on the launch of the new Duster Sandstorm, Mr. Sumit Sawhney, Country CEO and Managing Director, Renault India Operations said,

The new DusterSandstorm Edition is offered at compelling price points and willprovide the owners a bold, intelligent and efficient avatar of theDuster which will further continue to carry the legacy of the Dusterforward in India.”

The Sandstorm is not available with the 4WD version. It is only available with the manual 2WD option. On the outside, the Duster Sandstorm gets matt black grille with a thicker bumper that also acts as a bull bar. The bull bar also gets Duster branding on it giving the vehicle an intimidating look. The Sandstorm also gets new body graphics on the front door and on the hood. The vehicle also gets other new additions like New style Zodiac 16-inch machined alloy wheels and body coloured door handles.

On the inside, the Duster Sandstorm gets new theme interiors finished in black and grey. The dashboard gets finished in dark chrome finish for a premium look. There are also new seat covers and ‘Sandstorm’ branded floor mats. The vehicle comes equipped with 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system. The Duster Sandstorm will be available in three colour options – Outback bronze, Moonlight silver and Slate Grey.

The engine options will remain same. The Duster is powered by the 1.5-litre K9K dCi engine that has been tuned to produce a maximum of 85 PS or 110 PS. The 110 PS version comes with 6-speed gearbox and delivers 20 km/l fuel efficiency as per ARAI. The new Sandstorm can be booked through dealerships and Renault Duster App. The deliveries are scheduled to start soon.
