Renault launches special anniversary edition Kwid

Renault Kwid has undoubtedly scripted the success story for Renault in India. To mark the second anniversary of the hatchback, Renault has launched a special edition of the vehicle and it has received certain changes to make it look special for the occasion. The Kwid 02 anniversary edition is priced at Rs. 3.43 lakh, ex-showroom, Delhi.

The special edition gets a bunch of cosmetic changes and feature updates like sporty graphics on the C-Pillar and roof, dual tone ORVMs, painted skid plates on the outside. The car also gets painted wheels making it look much more premium and attractive.

On the inside, the car gets ’02’ emblem on the seat upholstery, floor mats, and the steering wheel. The AC vents get colored outlines too. The gear knob is also in two-tone to give the sporty feeling. The center console gets Piano Black finish to make it look more premium.

The special edition is available with both the engine options. The 800cc engine produces 54 Bhp – 72 Nm. The more powerful 1.0-litre engine produces 67 Bhp – 91 Nm. No changes have been done to the engine. Renault has sold over 1.75 lakh units of the Kwid in India till date and it is very popular among the youths in India. At a price increase of just Rs. 15,000, the Kwid gets a lot of additions in the form of accessories.

The Kwid offers various features like 7-inch touch-screen infotainment system, digital instrument cluster, one-touch lane change indicator, speed dependent volume control and more.

There has been no report on how many cars will be available as special edition models in India. However, the cars are readily available at all the Renault dealerships across India.
