Renault launches special edition Kwid

To kickstart the year 2017, Renault has quietly launched a special edition of Kwid known as ‘Live for more’ edition. The special edition upgrades the car visually with graphics on the body. The ‘Live for more’ edition is available in 0.8-litre engine, 1-litre engine and AMT option and the prices start at Rs. 2.93 lakh (ex-showroom, Mumbai).

The ‘Live for more’ edition gets red and grey stripes running from the bonnet and through the roof of the car to the integrated roof spoiler. Similar stripes are also pasted across the rear door to C-Pillar. To make it look even more special, the Kwid gets nice looking red accents on the wheel covers and the front grille as well. The car also gets roof rails and the rear spoiler with contrasting colours.

The interiors of the vehicle have also received red accents. The steering wheel and door pads get highlighted in red. The feature list of the car remains the same without any change. Mechanically, nothing special has been done for the car.

There is also an option of the 1.0-litre engine that churns out a maximum of 67 BHP at 5,500 rpm and 91 Nm of maximum torque. The more powerful version returns 23.01 km/l. The AMT option is only available with the 1.0-litre version of the vehicle.

Renault says that the ‘Live for more’ kit will be provided free of cost to the 2016 models while customers who are opting for the 2017 model will have to pay extra for the package. Also, the customers will get the kit only on special request. Renault’s special edition can be a move to remove the old stocks and make space for the new ones. The special edition vehicle does look very attractive, though.
