Renault has relaunched the Lodgy Stepway in India. The new Lodgy gets updated exteriors and interiors and also an addition of the more powerful 108 BHP engine alongside the regular 83 BHP diesel engine. The new Lodgy comes with as many has 16 new enhancements with the new Lodgy Stepway. The new Lodgy Stepway starts at Rs. 9.43 lakh, ex-showroom, Delhi. Earlier the car available only in the top-end variant but now the French manufacturer has added the visually enhanced model to the base variants too.
The car will be available in RxZ and RxL variants, where the RxL only offers 8-seats while the RxZ is also offered in 7-seat version with captain seats in the middle row. From the outside, both the variants look the same, except the badge. From the outside, the car gets new jewel-studded front grille, brushed aluminium finished skid plate, and fog lamp bezels. There are also Stepway decals, lower plastic cladding, dark metal finish roof rails and arrowhead styled LED lamps. The Stepway also gets 16-inch gunmetal finished alloy wheels.
On the inside, the cabin gets updated new brown and beige leather upholstery with diamond stitching. The dashboard has also been updated to 2-tone colours with the centre console finished in piano black. The MPV also features a touch sensitive infotainment system, same as the Duster. There is also steering wheel mounted audio control, 12-volt charging sockets for all the 3-row along with flight trays. There are also flight trays, bottle holders and a sunglass holder. The 8-seater version also gets 60:40 split seat option.
The engine continues to be the same with the new Lodgy. There is only one 1.5-litre diesel engine that comes in two state of tunes – 83 BHP and 108 BHP. The lowered powered 83 BHP version of the car gets only a 5-speed manual transmission while the 108 bhp version comes with 6-speed manual transmission. The car also gets cruise control, ABS with EBD, Brake Assist and dual airbags in the higher end models.
