The Indian subsidiary of the French carmaker Groupe Renault – Renault India is currently offering some pretty sweet discounts on its entire model range in the country. Massive discounts of up to Rs 94,000 are being offered by Renault India on its hatchback Kwid, MPV Triber, and sub-compact SUV Kiger. Renault is offering these with benefits on money, rewards for loyalty, and exchange bonuses. In addition, the French automaker is providing an exchange incentive of Rs 10,000 on all vehicles as part of the scrappage strategy.
Of all the three models in Renault’s portfolio, the MPV Triber is being offered with the heaviest of discounts. The benefits on the Triber include an exchange bonus through the r.e.li.v.e scrappage programme of up to Rs 10,000, special loyalty benefits of up to Rs 44,000, and cash incentives of up to Rs 40,000. The sum of all these discounts adds up to Rs 94,000 and is currently being provided on the sub-compact MPV. It has to be noted that the Renault Triber Limited Edition does not qualify for the cash discount.
Renault’s most affordable Kwid is presently being offered with cash rewards of up to Rs 35,000, as well as special loyalty incentives of up to Rs 37,000 and an exchange bonus of up to Rs 10,000.owever the catch is these discounts are only available for the 2021MY Kwid. The Renault Kwid produced in 2022 will receive a little lower cash discount of up to Rs 30,000, while the loyalty incentive and exchange advantage will remain constant.

Meanwhile, the sub-compact SUV Kiger, which is the newest Renault vehicle in India would enjoy advantages of up to Rs 75,000. A unique loyalty bonus of up to Rs 55,000, a corporate discount of up to Rs 10,000 or a special deal for rural consumers, and an exchange advantage of up to Rs 10,000 are among the benefits currently on offer with the vehicle.
Currently, other OEMs like the South Korean manufacturer Hyundai India are also offering some attractive discounts on their vehicles. The list of models receiving these discounts includes the now discontinued Santro, Grand i10 Nios, Aura, i20, and Kona EV.
Modelwise, the Santro which although has been discontinued will get a cash discount of up to Rs 28,000 on the stocks that are leftover with some of the dealers. Meanwhile, the Hyundai Grand i10 Nios Turbo model receives a substantial cash discount of Rs 35,000, but there are other incentives that bring the total benefits to Rs 48,000. The Nios CNG model is available with a cash discount of Rs 10,000. However, only exchange and business incentives are available to the remaining variations.
There are no financial incentives on the Aura’s CNG models, but there is a Rs 10,000 cash discount on others. Hyundai is providing discounts of up to Rs 20,000 on the Magna and Sportz models of the i20. Although there are no offerings for the high-end Asta and Asta (O) models. The Hyundai Kona EV is also available with a Rs 50,000 cash discount.
