The first thing to be noticed is the new updated headlamps on the Duster that are projector units and have LED DRLs as well. The grille design has been updated and it is now larger in size along with wearing chrome ornaments. Also seen in the teaser image is a small part of the new sculpted bonnet with a higher bonnet line. The bonnet has been raised on the Duster facelift in order to meet pedestrian protection norms.

Though the teaser image reveals only a few details, we can tell you that the new Duster will also feature revised fog lamp housings, new surrounds for the tail lamps that stretch across the hatch lid and new alloy wheels. Renault will also offer a new blue shade with the Duster which will be the same as seen in the teaser here. The French manufacturer could also offer a few new paint shades with the facelifted Duster.

As for the engine and transmission, they will remain the same as found on the current model. The ongoing model gets two engine options. There is a petrol engine that is a 1.5-litre naturally aspirated unit churning out 106 Bhp of power along with 140 Nm of torque. This engine gets two gearbox options: a 5-speed manual and a CVT automatic. The diesel engine is the 1.5-litre K9K turbocharged unit that is available in two states of tune – lower output of 85 Bhp-200 Nm and higher output of 108 Bhp-240 Nm.

The diesel engine in the lower state of tune gets a 5-speed manual gearbox while the one in the higher state of tune gets 6-speed manual and AMT options. This diesel engine may be discontinued though after the BSVI emissions norms come into play from April 2020. Renault will launch the Duster Facelift in a week from now, with no increase in prices.
