Renault Pulse, variants and prices across five major cities!

Renault India launched the Pulse premium hatchback at the 2012 Delhi Auto Expo. The Pulse is only available in diesel and comes in two variants: the RxL and the RxZ priced at Rs. 5.88 lakh and Rs. 6.37 lakh respectively.

During May 2012, Renault launched the Pulse petrol version, powered by the engine that powers the Nissan Micra petrol version.

The Renault Pulse is nothing but a “badge-engineered” Nissan Micra, with a few cosmetic changes. The Renault Pulse has been given more aggressive styling by Renault’s design center in Mumbai. The Pulse has aggressive looking headlamps, a sporty hexagonal shaped grille, newly designed bumper and integrated fog lamps (fog lamps are variant specific). At the rear, the taillamps of the Pulse are different from that of the Micra. The interiors of the Pulse are same as that of the Micra.

The Pulse petrol is powered by a 1,198 cc engine that puts out 75 bhp of power and 104 Nm of torque. The Pulse diesel is powered by a 1,461 cc engine that puts out 63 bhp of power and 160 Nm of torque. Both the engines are mated to a 5-speed manual transmission. The ARAI-certified mileage of the Pulse diesel is 23.08 kmpl. The Pulse petrol is offered in three trim levels, RxE, RxL and RxZ while the Pulse diesel comes with RxL and RxZ variants.

Renault Pulse Petrol RxE (Rs.4.25 lakh)

The base variant, RxE does not come with features such as central locking, power windows and keyless entry. But it had power steering with tilt adjustment, manual AC with heater and driver airbag. The following are the complete list of features offered in the RxE variant.

Renault Pulse Petrol RxL (Rs. 4.99 lakh)

The Pulse petrol RxL variant has all the features offered in the RxE variant and in addition gets all four power windows, central locking, keyless entry, audio system with four speakers, rear wiper and washer, front & rear head restraints.

Renault Pulse Petrol RxZ (Rs. 5.55 lakh)

The top-end RXZ variant has all the features of the RXL and in addition gets engine start/stop button, automatic climate control, rear defogger, alloy wheels, driver and passenger airbag and ABS wit EBD.

The Pulse RxL does not get engine start/stop button, automatic climate control system, leather wrapped steering wheel, alloy wheels and front fog lamps. The following are the features offered on the Pulse RxL variant.
