Triber is a very flexible and practical MPV which makes sense in a country like India. Renault Triber is currently offered with a single engine option. It gets a 1.0 litre naturally aspirated engine that produces 72 Bhp and 96 Nm of torque which is now BS6 compliant. it is the same engine that we have seen in Kwid hatchback, but here in Triber it is tuned differently. It is only available with a 5-speed manual gearbox and does not offer an automatic as of now.

Triber will soon get a 1.0 litre, 3-cylinder turbo petrol engine that we will get to see in future Renault cars. The upcoming HBC compact SUV that was recently caught testing on our roads is likely to use the turbocharged engine. Apart from the new turbo petrol engine, the new compact MPV is also expected to get a 5 speed automated manual transmission option – similar to the one already on offer with the Kwid 1.0. The Triber AMT is likel to be showcased at the upcoming 2020 Indian Auto Expo.
