Resto-modded previous generation Honda City sedan looks beautiful [Video]

Honda City is one of the most loved sedans in the Indian market. It has ruling this segment for years now. It competes with cars like Maruti Ciaz, Hyundai Verna, recently launched Skoda Slavia and upcoming Volkswagen Virtus in the segment. Honda even unveiled the hybrid version of City sedan in India. The price for Honda City hybrid would be announced soon. Honda is still selling the fourth generation Honda City with petrol engine and limited trims. Here we have a video where a previous generation Honda City sedan in bad condition is beautifully modified and restored.

The video has been uploaded by BROTOMOTIV on their YouTube channel. In this video, the vlogger shows the condition of the car when it arrived at the workshop and the work that was done on it. The car was involved in an accident and the front bumper was damaged. The headlights were broken and the rear bumper also had cracks. The whole car had several scratches on it and the paint had also lost its gloss. Vlogger mentions that the owner of this car wanted a white sedan but he could not get one when he went to buy the City. When the car came to the workshop for repainting and other repair work, the owner told them that he wants White shade for his Honda City.

Work on this car started, the old paint on the car was completely stripped down. The car had several minor and major dents which were filled with excess putty. After removing the paint, all the putty was also removed till they saw the metal sheet underneath. The bumper  and grille was all removed and all the dents on the car were corrected using dent puller machine. Once that was done, the surface was sanded to achieve a smooth finish. After correcting the dents, a thin coat of putty was applied on the panels to achieve the desired shade and character lines. After this the excess putty was sanded off from the body panels. A set of body kits were also installed on front and rear bumper along with side skirts. Both front and rear bumper were replaced and not repaired.

The interior of the car was also taken down for customisation. A coat of primer was then applied on the car and was then taken to the paint booth. The car then painted in dual tone. The roof of the car was painted in Black and rest of the car was painted in premium White shade. The car is finished in shade which is seen in Lexus. The car looks extremely beautiful in this shade. The panels like the bonnet, doors where all removed and painted individually for even finish. The alloy wheels on this car were also repainted. The dual tone alloy wheels were finish in gloss black. The whole car got a makeover. The interior of the car were redone on Black and Brown dual tone. The car now looked extremely premium in the white shade along with this new interiors. It is without any doubt one of the most neat looking Honda City in the country at the moment.
