Hyundai will launch the facelifted Creta SUV in the middle of this month (May). Bookings for the facelifted model are already on at Hyundai dealers, unofficially. The best selling compact SUV will get a sprucing up, both at the front and the rear. The revised design on the India-spec Creta Facelift will be inspired by the Brazil-spec model.

The interiors are likely to get minor revisions, with a few additional features on offer. The petrol and turbocharged  diesel engine options of the SUV will be carried over from the current model, and so will be the manual and automatic transmissions. Prices of the Creta Facelift will start from a little over Rs. 9 lakhs.

Hyundai will launch the automatic variants of the hot selling i20 premium hatchback shortly. The car was facelifted earlier this year but the automatic option was held back for reasons best known to Hyundai. The wait is set to get over soon.

The Elite i20 will get a CVT automatic gearbox on the 1.2 litre VTVT petrol engine. The diesel motor will continue with a manual gearbox. The i20 Automatic will take on the Maruti Baleno and the Honda Jazz CVT models. Expect the new i20 Automatic to be about Rs. 80,000 to Rs. 1 lakh pricier than the equivalent petrol-manual models.

All-new Santro

Hyundai will launch the all-new Santro hatchback during this year’s festive season. The car will be the automaker’s biggest launch of the year. The Santro will replace the last-gen i10 in terms of price and positioning. It will be slotted between the Eon and the Grand i10 in terms of pricing.

The Santro is expected to use a 1.1 litre, 4 cylinder engine with petrol and CNG fuel options. A 5 speed manual gearbox will be standard while an AMT option will also be offered. The car will get a tall-boy design and is expected to have spacious interiors with contemporary features.
