The 15th of November is not a special date by any means. But this year, it is among the most awaited dates of the year. This is because the iconic motorcycle brand Jawa is making a comeback on that day, much to the delight of fans and enthusiasts.
The bike has been undergoing testing and we had already brought you leaked images of the test bike some time back. However, we now have the non camouflaged picture of the bike and it sure looks like it means business. Take a look and decide for yourself
The leaked image shows a bike with red and chrome paint job which is typical Jawa design theme. The engine and silencer is the same one that had been revealed by the company a few weeks before. Going by the look of the motorcycle, we can confirm that the Jawa DNA is carried over nicely. Also, it looks like a true match for the top selling Royal Enfield Classic 350.
The picture shows traditional spoked wheels being used instead of alloys, keeping the DNA alive. There is a big disc brake up front with golden calipers. However, the rear has no such disc and does away with normal drum brakes, similar to the Royal Enfield Classic. The front headlamp unit design along with the suspension setup is reminiscent of the Jawas of old.
The bike will get powered by a 293cc Single Cylinder, Fuel injected, DOHC engine that is good enough for a healthy 27 Bhp of peak power and 28 Nm of maximum torque. The engine design is in lieu with the old Jawa design policy too. There will be two silencer pipes and the motor has been tuned to be give a generous mid-range along with a flat torque curve. This, in turn, will help in providing a consistent power delivery, a trademark of classic Jawa bikes. This will prove to be a good challenge for the Royal Enfield Classic 350, which has been ruling the tarmac for long.
The launch event will take place on 15th of November, 2019, as already mentioned before. Classic Legends, the banner under which the Jawa brand is reborn, has confirmed that there will be three bike launches on that day, all based on the same platform. With not even 10 days remaining for the launch to happen, keep following us for more recent news and updates regarding the upcoming Jawa motorcycles.
