As the automotive world is making breakthrough advancements, the automotive enthusiasts could not really shake off the charm of the retro era. The popularity of the Royal Enfield and recently launched Jawa twins show how retro-modern bikes are still hot-selling products in the Indian market. Soon, there will be five new neo-retro motorcycles and scooters launching in the Indian market. Here are all the five new retro products that will be launched in 2019 in India.
Launch: Mid 2019
The Jawa and the Jawa 42 received an overwhelming response in the Indian market. Soon, Jawa will launch the Perak, which will be the most powerful and most expensive bike from the line-up in the Indian market. The bike gets a Bobber design and looks quite interesting with matte grey shade and golden highlights on the tank and the side panels. It also gets a single-seat set-up. The bike gets dual-channel ABS and would be powered by a bigger bore 332cc, single-cylinder engine. The bigger engine will churn out a maximum power of 30 Bhp and 31 Nm. Jawa is expected to price the bike below Rs. 2 lakhs in the Indian market.
Royal Enfield Scrambler Trials
Launch: Early 2019
Royal Enfield has been spotted testing the scrambler version of the Classic models in the Indian market and soon it would launch the bike. The official name as not been announced but it is likely to be called Trials. The new bike gets a single-seat and a rack to carry the luggage. The bike gets an upswept exhaust that ensures that it can wade through deep water without much problem. The upcoming scrambler would get striking colour and will be available with both 350cc and 500cc single-cylinder engines.
Benelli Imperiale 400
Launch: Mid 2019
DSK-Benelli will soon launch the all-new Imperiale 400 classic-modern bike in the Indian market. It will take on the Royal Enfield motorcycles directly and is expected to get an affordable price tag. The bike gets powered by a 373cc, single-cylinder engine that produces a maximum power of 19.7 Bhp at 5,500 rpm and 28 nm of peak torque at 3,500 rpm. It gets a five-speed manual transmission. The bike gets a retro look with a round headlamp and a longish fuel tank. It also gets split seats.
Launch: Festive season 2019
The Scomadi is British manufacturer of two-wheelers that will soon launch its product in the Indian market. Scomadi will introduce its first-ever scooter in the booming Indian market later this year and the TT125 would be their first-ever product in the market. The retro-looking Scomadi TT125 gets a single-cylinder engine that churns out around 14.5 Bhp. The scooter gets classic looks with a modern engine and features like disc brakes on both the wheels. The Scomadi will get a premium price tag of around Rs. 1.7 lakhs and the scooters can be booked at their Pune office too.
Launch: Mid 2019
UM is working to launch an all-new scooter in the Indian market. It will be the first-ever product from the brand in India and will be known as Chill. The UM Chill will get powered by a 150cc, single-cylinder engine. It will also get disc brake at the front wheel with single-channel ABS. The scooter will take on the likes of Piaggio Vespa in the Indian market and will offer an affordable price tag too.
