Royal Enfield Interceptor 650 modified with a Himalayan body kit looks interesting

Royal Enfield motorcycles are one of the most popular two-wheeler brand in the world. It happens to be one of the oldest motorcycle manufacturer in the world that is still in production. The manufacturer is currently working on several new models and Classic and Bullet series motorcycles from Royal Enfield have a large fan base in India and around the world. We have seen several modification projects based on Royal Enfield motorcycles. Here we have one such video from a UK-based motorcycle garage that has modified Royal Enfield Interceptor 650. The motorcycle has bee modified with a Himalayan body kit and is being called Interlayan 650.

The video has been uploaded by Cooperb Motorcycles on their YouTube channel. The Interlayan 650 is actually a custom build project in which the vlogger used an Interceptor 650 motorcycle as donor bike. Cooperb motorcycles have done several custom motorcycle projects in the past and the Interlayan 650 is their latest one. The vlogger can be heard saying in the video that the bike started its life as a standard Interceptor 650 motorcycle and as part of the build several modifications were made.

The Interceptor 650 has been transformed into a adventure tourer motorcycle. Vlogger mentions that the work on this motorcycle has not finished yet. In the video, he gives a quick tour of all the modifications that have been done to the motorcycle so far. Starting with the front, the original wheels on the Interceptor 650 has been replaced with new sets. The new rims have golden paint job with spokes in them. The handle bar has been changed but, the twin pod instrument cluster has been retained.

The fuel tank on the Interceptor 650 has been replaced as well. There are metal frames on both sides of the motorcycle where the rider can mount jerry can if needed. After the tank, the motorcycle starting looking like an Interceptor 650. Vlogger mentions in the video that the seats on the motorcycle will be changed but, currently it was using the stock flat seat from Interceptor 650.

The engine cover and the surrounding area which is normally finished in chrome has been painted in matte black. No changes have been made to the engine of the motorcycle. The stock twin exhaust has been replaced for a single upswept aftermarket unit. Towards the rear, the motorcycle gets two side boxes and the rear gets tail lamps and turn indicators from a Royal Enfield Himalayan.

Overall, the motorcycle does look very neat and may be Royal Enfield could take some inspiration from this custom build motorcycle and actually launch a 650-cc, adventure tourer motorcycle in the market. The manufacturer is currently working on a 650-cc cruiser, Himalayan based scrambler and many more products.
