Royal Enfield Interceptor & Continental GT 650: Prices of official accessories out

Royal Enfield launched the Interceptor & Continental GT 650 twins just last month and the bikes have hit a chord with the buyers. Now, the company has announced the official accessory range for the bikes with final prices. There are a host of accessories available for both the bikes and most of them can be used on either bike.

The Continental GT, however, gets more official accessories compared to the Interceptor owing to its cafe racer style, which allows more customization options. Let’s take a look at all the accessories before discussing any further.

Both the bikes get powered by a 648cc, parallel-twin motor that churns out 47 Bhp of maximum power and 52 Nm of peak torque. The engine comes mated to a six-speed gearbox along with a slipper clutch, which is a first by the company. Talking of firsts, the Royal Enfield Interceptor and Continental GT 650 twins come with many firsts for the company, including the new double cradle frame and the new 648 cc engine.

The only difference between the bikes is in their styling and riding position. The Royal Enfield Continental GT 650 is a cafe racer styled bike with more aggressive riding position and meatier looks. The Royal Enfield Interceptor 650, on the other hand, is more of a easy riding old school cruiser which has a more comfortable take towards riding.

Royal Enfield has priced the 650 twins quite well and both the bikes outclass other in the segment. The Interceptor 650 starts at Rs. 2.50 lakhs (ex-showroom, Delhi) while the Continental GT 650 starts at Rs. 2.65 (ex-showroom, Delhi). Talking of competition, there are no direct rivals for the bike at this price point and category, which further strengthen the case for the company.
