Royal Enfield is working on a lot of new products but the first product to get unveiled is the concept version of Shotgun 650. For now, it is called SG650 Concept and it is revealed at EICMA in Italy. Shotgun 650 is a bobber and will share its underpinnings with the Super Meteor 650. Both motorcycles will be launched sometime next year.
The bobber is finished in silver and black colour. The headlamp cowl and fuel tank are finished in silver colour while the rest of the motorcycle is finished in black colour. The engine and the exhaust pipes are also matte black in colour.
Because Shotgun is a bobber, it gets a single seat. There are also bar-end mirrors mounted at the end of the handlebar.
The tail lamp is also circular in shape and the engine casing is very unique with black and silver accents. This is the same 650 cc parallel-twin that is used on the Continental GT650 and Interceptor 650.
The front fender is finished in silver while the rear fender is black in colour. The motorcycle is more of a concept as of now because it runs on very fat tyres and the wheels also will not make it to the production motorcycle.
Super Meteor
Royal Enfield is also working on a cruiser type motorcycle which will be called Super Meteor. This is not the first time that Royal Enfield is using the Super Meteor moniker. They had a motorcycle back in the 1950s with the same name. It was on sale till 1962 and then it was replaced with a 736 cc Royal Enfield Interceptor.

The engine casing will be black in colour instead of chrome like we have seen on the Continental GT 650 and the Interceptor 650. It will be the same 650 cc parallel-twin. So, the same engine will be used on four motorcycles.
The engine puts out 47 PS of max power and 52 Nm of peak torque. It comes mated to a 6-speed gearbox with a slip and assist clutch. The engine itself is air-oil cooled and is known for its smoothness and linear power delivery. This is also the most powerful engine that Royal Enfield has ever produced and comes with a 270-degree crank that gives the engine its unique rumbling soundtrack.
The design of the Super Meteor is retro just like other Royal Enfield motorcycles. It gets a large teardrop fuel tank, rear swept handlebar and forward step footpegs. This gives a relaxed riding posture and the rider will not get tired during long journeys. You can consider Super Meteor to be an elder sibling to the current Meteor 350.
Super Meteor comes with a round headlamp and tail lamp, dual straight exhausts, split seats and circular turn indicators. Moreover, it is the first Royal Enfield motorcycle to come with up-side down front forks. Also, it will come with blacked-out alloy wheels from the factory. So, it can come with tubeless tyres from the factory.
Braking duties will be done by a disc in the front and at the rear. A Dual-Channel Anti-lock braking system will be on offer as standard. Moreover, Royal Enfield will be using steel braided lines for the brakes which are more effective than regular rubber brake lines.
More 650 cc motorcycles coming
Royal Enfield is also working on a Classic 650 which is expected to be the most affordable 650 cc motorcycle in the line-up. It will sit below the Interceptor and the Continental GT in the line-up. There is also a new adventure motorcycle that Royal Enfield is working on. It will essentially be a soft-roader. There will be two variants of it. The spoked rims will be marketed as an adventure tourer while the alloy wheels version will be marketed as a sports tourer.
