In an interview with MoneyControl, Royal Enfield’s CEO Vinod Dasari said,

“We have a very exciting (product) pipeline. This year will probably see the highest number of new models that is ever seen from Royal Enfield in a year. And that is just the beginning of the pipeline.”

“We will continue to have one new model every quarter. Because there is a delay due to COVID right now, I don’t think we will squeeze everything in but there are some very big models coming in. We are very excited about it. We will have to do all the marketing and market preparedness for that,”

Royal Enfield Classic 350 is one of the oldest motorcycles on sale in the Indian market. The company is currently working to launch the all-new model and they are already testing it on the Indian roads. The new Royal Enfield Classic 350 has been spotted testing multiple times in the past.

The bike will offer a range of new features. The spy pictures of the bike show that the new bike will get split seats, premium colours and even a futuristic-looking instrument console.

Royal Enfield is working on a slew of all-new motorcycles for the Indian market. The manufacturer is likely to launch new products powered by its newly developed 650cc parallel-twin engine. They have already registered the name Shotgun in the Indian market. However, no one can say for sure about the name of the cruiser 650. Royal Enfield had also registered the names Sherpa, Roadster, and Hunter. So it can be any of these names.

The brand is also working on a roadster that will be powered by a 350cc single-cylinder engine. It will take on the like of Honda CB350 RS in the Indian market. Royal Enfield announced that it will launch a new motorcycle every quarter and the brand had announced that it will launch at least 28 motorcycles in the next seven years.

The brand has registered new names including Scram, which is likely to be used by the Royal Enfield Scrambler and the Royal Enfield Hunter. That makes three models that will be launched in this financial year, which will end in March 2022.

Royal Enfield’s production

Due to the ongoing pandemic and related lockdown, Royal Enfield has faced disruptions in production just like any other manufacturer. Royal Enfield currently has to clear the backlog of the orders and it will require about 2 to 3 months. This is without accepting any new bookings at the moment.
