Sachin Tendulkar misses his Maruti 800: Wants his first car back

Only if you have been living under a rock for all these years, you’ll not be familiar with the name Sachin Tendulkar or the Master Blaster. The legendary cricketer needs no introduction and is also known among the fans for his love for cars. He has a huge collection of cars in his garage including Nissan GT-R, BMW i8 and many more. He actually represents BMW in India and has a number of cars from German manufacturer in his garage. His first car that he had owned was a humble Maruti 800 and now he is looking to get it back.

The Master Blaster was recently featured in a youtube video and in that he had confessed that he does not have his first car Maruti 800 with him anymore and misses it badly. He even goes on saying that he would in fact love to have it back. He got featured in Mudit Dani‘s youtube channel. Mudit Dani is number 6 Table Tennis player in India. Sachin Tendulkar said,

My first car was a Maruti 800. Unfortunately it is not with me right now. I would love to have it back again with me. So people listening to me, feel free to contact and get in touch.

Sachin Tendulkar also mentioned on video that his love for cars started at a very young age. Sachin and his brother used to sit in the balcony of their house and used to spot cars. There used to be a big drive-in theatre near there house and many used to drive their cars and watch movie while sitting inside the parked car.

Maruti 800 was a car that became popular among Indian families and was there on sale for a very long time. We still have number of well kept examples around the country and Sachin Tendulkar could have chosen to buy any of those well kept examples. However, the one that he is looking for is his first car, which has a emotional value more than anything else. Sachin Tendulkar is an absolute car nut and even used to own a Ferrari that came to him as a gift from Michael Schumacher on behalf of Fiat in 2002. The car now belongs to a businessman from Surat. We really wish that he finds his first car soon. The Maruti 800 was the first car from Maruti Suzuki, and was launched way back in 1983. It continued in nearly the same shape for over 30 years before discontinuation.
