The RS7 joins the RS4 – another Audi RS sports coupe – in the Indian car market. The Audi RS7 is powered by a 4 liter TFSI twin-turbo petrol V8 engine that outputs 560 Bhp of peak power between 5,700 and 6,600 rpm and 700 Nm of peak torque between 1,750 and 5,500 rpm.

With such performance on tap, the Audi RS7 is outfitted with an array of electronic aids to make sure that the car stays on the road. Adaptive air suspension with comfort, auto, dynamic and custom modes is standard and so is the torque vectoring system.

The car also gets a range of optional performance enhancing equipment including the sport differential, dynamic steering, RS sport suspension plus with Dynamic Ride Control and carbon fiber ceramic disc brakes. Other features such as adaptive cruise control and park assist are standard.

These massive torque output is transmitted to the ground through all four wheels, by means of an 8 speed Tiptronic automatic gearbox. The 0-100 Kph run is dispatched in 3.9 seconds while top speed is a heady 305 Kph. Super car performance in a sports coupe package. That’s the Audi RS7 for you.

Though the focus is predominantly on out-and-out performance, tightening emission legislation in most parts of the developed world has meant that Audi has incorporated the cylinder deactivation and start-stop systems to conserve fuel and cut tail pipe emissions.

Another move to improve fuel economy is the taller 8th gear on the 8 speed automatic torque converter. These measures make for a fuel efficiency figure of over 10 Kmpl, which is very respectable indeed, especially considering the performance on tap.

The Audi RS7 comes with 20 inch alloy wheels as standard, and can be specified with 21 inch wheels as an option. The car also gets a top end infotainment console with satellite navigation as standard. Prominent safety features on the Audi RS7 include airbags, ABS+EBD, traction control, ESP and the night vision assistant.
