The Panamera has been the choice of those who wanted a sporty car, yet wanted the additional practicality of 4 doors. Earlier this year, the company revealed the all-new Panamera in the Indian market. The vehicle was only on offer in the Turbo guise and came in the standard and the Executive version (long wheel base).
In the global market, the company also sells an estate version of the Panamera, called the Sport Turismo. While India isn’t a market which likes estates, the company has silently introduced the Sport Turismo in India as well. Sources close to us have informed us of the launch and the vehicle is priced at Rs 1.87 crore, ex-showroom Delhi. The normal Panamera on the other hand is priced at Rs 1.83 crores, ex-showroom Delhi (all post GST pricing) (Rs 1.99 crore for the Sport Turismo before GST) .
The Sport Turismo comes with the same engine that is on offer on the Panamea range, which means power comes from a 4.0 liter V8 engine that produces 542 Bhp and 770 Nm. It has a top speed of 304 kmph and the engine is mated to an 8-speed PDK gearbox. It has a 0-100 times of 3.8 seconds (3.6 with the Sport Chrono Package).
The vehicle comes with 20″ rims as standard and gets the funky new touch screen system that controls everything, even the AC vents movement. The Sport Turismo is a shooting brake version of Panamera and it looks really cool, in our opinion. Those looking for practicality won’t be disappointed as the vehicle has a boot space of 520 liters which can be extended to 1390 liters, giving ample space for all your luggage. You can also opt for the 4-wheel steering as an option, which makes the vehicle very easy to drive in the city and out on the highway. The option costs Rs 3.36 lakhs.
The Panamera Sport Turismo is certainly for those people who want to have something unique and funky, yet practical at the same time.
