Skoda dealership delivers 50 units of Slavia sedan to customers in one day [Video]

Skoda Auto India recently launched their premium sedan Slavia in the Indian market. It was the second product from Skoda under their India Strategy 2.0. The all-new Slavia replaced Skoda Rapid in the segment. Slavia competes with cars like Maruti Ciaz, Hyundai Verna and Honda City in the segment. Bookings have already started for Slavia and so have the deliveries. Videos about delivery and ownership experiences have started surfacing online and here we have a video where not 1 or 2 but, 50 Slavia sedans were delivered to customers on the same day.

The video has been uploaded by BMC HD Videos on their YouTube channel. The video covers the ceremony organised by Kun Skoda which is a dealership network for Skoda brand in Chennai and Pondicherry. The video shows a long line of brand new Slavia sedans parked outside the dealership waiting to be handed over to the customer. Before handing over the key, the dealership organised a small event for the customers where they were called up on stage to celebrate the day.

The dealership had arranged a cake cutting ceremony and after that the customers were handed over the keys to their brand new Skoda Slavia sedan. A prayer was offered to all the vehicles and after that customers started driving the car out from the dealership. It is probably the first time that so many Skoda Slavia sedans were delivered at once. We have seen such group vehicle deliveries during festive seasons. Happy faces of the customers who took the delivery of their brand new car can be seen in the video.

Skoda Slavia is based of MQB A0 IN platform. It is the same platform that is also used on Skoda Kushaq, Volswagen Taigun and the upcoming Volkswagen Virtus. Slavia is a premium sedan and offers decent number of features in it. The higher variant of the Skoda Slavia comes with features like touchscreen infotainment system, electric sunroof, fully digital instrument cluster, multi-function two-spoke steering wheel, cruise control, automatic headlamps, rai sensing wipers, ventilated seats, dual tone leather upholstery, wireless phone charger, automatic climate control and many more features.

Skoda is offering Slavia with two engine options. Just like many other manufacturers, Skoda has also moved away from diesel engine and offer Slavia with two petrol engines only. First engine option is a 1.0 litre turbocharged petrol engine that generates 115 Ps and 178 Nm of peak torque. This engine is offered with a manual and a 6-speed automatic transmission. The next engine on offer is the 1.5 litre turbocharged petrol engine that generates 150 Ps and 250 Nm of peak torque. This engine is available with a manual and a 7-speed DCT gearbox. This is the most powerful sedan in this segment.

The Skoda Slavia is offered in Active, Ambition and Style variants. The Style variant is available with and without the sunroof. The price for the 1.0 litre turbo petrol version starts at Rs 10.69 lakh, ex-showroom. The price for 1.5 litre turbo petrol version starts at Rs 16.19 lakh, ex-showroom.
