Skoda Kodiaq specifications leaked completely before launch

Skoda Kodiaq is available in many different specifications and variants in the international markets. In the Indian market, the SUV will only come with one engine option. The Skoda Kodiaq measures 4,697 mm in length, 1,882 mm in width and 1,665 mm in height. The vehicle gets a wheelbase of 2,791 mm. The Kodiaq will offer an unladen ground clearance of 188 mm. The ground clearance comes down to 140 mm in laden condition.

The Indian version of the Kodiaq will be offered in only 7-seater version. In the international market, the Kodiaq is also available in the 5-seater version. The SUV gets 270 litres of luggage space which is expandable to 630 litres after folding the third-row seat. The second-row seat can be folded too which expands the space to 2,005 litres.

Kodiaq in India will be powered by only one engine option. There is a 2.0-litre TDI diesel engine that produces a maximum power of 148 Bhp of maximum power between 3,500 to 4,000 rpm. The torque peaks at 340 Nm between 1,750 rpm and 3,000 rpm. The engine comes mated to a 7-speed DSG automatic transmission. There is no manual option available with the Indian version. Skoda claims that the car will return a fuel efficiency of 16.25 km/l. The drivetrain layout is most likely to be 2WD, but there has been no official word on the same. The Kodiaq comes with a 63-litre tank.

Interestingly, the Kodiaq will be made in the Aurangabad plant where the Volkswagen Tiguan is being produced. Both the vehicles get the same MQB underpinnings and same engine too. Even though the Kodiaq measures longer than the Tiguan, the fuel tank capacity and the ground clearance is lower than the Volkswagen branded vehicle in India.
