Originally, the 1.5 DSG variant was equipped with only dual airbags and missed out on a tyre pressure monitoring system. Some customers complained about this and they wanted that the top-end variant should offer these features.

Zac Hollis, Skoda’s director of Sales, Service & Marketing confirmed last month that Skoda has listened to customer feedback and they will be updating the top-end style Style variant with 6 airbags and a tyre pressure monitoring system. The price of the new variant was set at Rs. 18 lakhs ex-showroom.

The Style variant comes with a lot of equipment. It comes with an auto-dimming rearview mirror, split LED tail lamps, ventilated front seats, rain-sensing wipers, push-button to start/stop the engine, electric sunroof, anti-theft alarm and automatic headlamps. You also get 17-inch Atlas alloy wheels, follow-me-home headlamps, window chrome garnish, trunk chrome garnish, chrome highlights on the front bumper, body-coloured door handles with chrome accents, Skoda’s sound system with 6 high-performance speakers and subwoofer, perforated black and grey upholstery, front and rear armrest and chrome dashboard line.

Kushaq is offered only in three variants. There is Active, Ambition and Style. The automatic gearbox is only offered with Ambition and Style variant whereas the more powerful 1.5 TSI engine is reserved only for the top-end Style variant.

The prices of the Kushaq might seem a bit on the higher side but there is a reason for it. Skoda is not offering a naked model of the Kushaq. Even the base Active variant comes pretty well equipped and will be enough for some people. All the rivals offer a base model that misses out on almost every feature because of which they can price the it at a much lower price.
