Skoda few months ago launched their mid size SUV Kushaq in the Indian market. We did drive the 1.0 TSI petrol Automatic version of the Kushaq and if you want to know more about the 1.o TSI version click here. Skoda Kushaq is available in two engine options. The manufacturer recently started the delivery of the 1.5 litre TSI petrol engine. The more powerful 1.5 litre turbo petrol engine version of the Kushaq is now available to customers across the country. Skoda has now released a new TVC for the 1.5 litre TSI version of the Kushaq SUV.
Video has been shared by Skoda India on their official YouTube channel. Skoda Kushaq is a mid size SUV that competes with the likes of Nissan Kicks, Renualt Duster, Hyundai Creta and Kia Seltos in the segment. The video or the new TVC actually shows what all features are available with the SUV.

Skoda Kushaq gets signature butterfly grille at the front with chrome outline. The headlights are placed on either end of the grille. The headlight comes with integrated LED DRLs and the fog lamps are placed right under it. In terms of design, Kushaq looks like a smaller version of Skoda Kodiaq and Karoq. The SUV gets a muscular looking bumper with a faux silver coloured skid plate on the lower part.
Coming to the side profile, there are badges on the fender and the 17 inch dual tone alloy wheels can also be seen here. There is a thick cladding running around the car that gives it a muscular and SUVish look. At the rear, Kusahq gets split LED tail lamps which has a sharp design. The roof mounted spoiler, shark fin antenna and roof rails are also offered on this SUV.
Moving inside, Skoda offers decent amount of features with the SUV. There is touchscreen infotainment screen, analog instrument cluster, electric sunroof, automatic climate control which can be controlled using the touch panels. The seats gets dual tone leather upholstery. The front seats come with ventilation feature. Skoda also offers wireless phone charging, rear AC vents, 6-speaker sound system from Skoda and so on. Skoda is also offering Active Cylinder Technology where the engine shuts down two cylinder of the four when there is not much pressure being put on the engine. This helps in improving the efficiency of the engine.
Prices for Skoda Kushaq start at Rs 10.50 lakh, ex-showroom and go up to Rs 17.60 lakh, ex-showroom. Skoda Kushaq is available in three trims – Active, Ambition and Style. The 1.5 TSI version of Skoda Kushaq has a certified fuel economy of 17.95 kmpl for the manual and 17.71 kmpl for the DSG variant.
Coming to the engine options Kushaq is available with two engines. The 1.0 litre, turbocharged engine generates 115 Ps and 178 Nm of peak torque. This engine is available with a manual and an automatic transmission option. The other engine on offer is the 1.5 litre turbocharged petrol engine that generates 150 Ps and 250 Nm of peak torque. This engine gets a 6-speed manual or a 7-speed DSG gearbox option.
