Skoda Kushaq interior showcased in detail

Skoda Auto India will be announcing the price and the equipment list of the Kushaq in June while the deliveries of the new mid-size SUV will start in July. The Kushaq is the first product under Skoda’s India 2.0 strategy. It is expected to start from Rs. 10 lakhs ex-showroom. Skoda has been teasing the Kushaq continuously in new TVCs and videos. Now, they have released a new video that showcases the interior of the Kushaq.

The video starts by showcasing the front LED Daytime Running Lamps of the Kushaq. The next shot we get is of the dashboard. Some parts of the dashboard are finished in piano black. We can also see the free-standing 10-inch touchscreen infotainment system. The infotainment will come with Android Auto, Apple CarPlay and Skoda App-Connect. It will be connected to 6 speaker system with a subwoofer.

The AC vents are placed just below the infotainment system below which are the buttons for various functions such as hazard control, hill hold control etc. Then there are the controls for automatic climate control. The controls are touch-sensitive so you might have to take your eyes off the road until you get used to them. The side AC vents are in a hexagon shape and are placed vertically.

There is also a push button to start/stop that has been placed towards the right side of the steering column. In the video, we also get a look at the instrument cluster. There is an analogue tachometer towards the left side and an engine temperature gauge sits just below the tachometer. On the right side, there is an analogue speedometer with a fuel gauge right below it.

In the middle of the instrument cluster, there is the multi-information display which will show you various information like driving data, audio, telephone, temperature, vehicle status, trip meters, cruise control and a lot more. The Kushaq will also come with automatic LED twin-pod headlamps as we can see in the video. Skoda will also offer ambient lighting and utility recess on the dashboard to store some knick-knacks.

The two spoke steering wheel is similar to the one found on the new Octavia. It is a multi-function steering wheel that has two chrome scrollers. The left scroller will be used to control the infotainment system while the right side will be used to control the multi-information display. Below the controls, for the automatic climate control, there is a cubby space with a wireless charger, two Type-C charging sockets and a 12V accessory socket for your mobile phone. You also get two cup holders in the centre console and a smart ticket holder mounted with the windscreen.

The glove box comes with a cooling function so you would be able to keep your drinks cold. There is also an electric sunroof with a shade. The shade is manually controlled while the sunroof can be opened and closed through the buttons mounted on the ceiling.

The rear occupants get a centre armrest and two Type-C charging sockets. There is also a clever pocket behind the driver seat that can be used to hold a smartphone. The rear occupants also get their own AC vents. The front seats come with ventilated function and they are perforated with stitching. Skoda is also offering auto-dimming rearview mirror. So, there is quite a bit of equipment on offer with the Kushaq.
