Skoda had a good run with the range-topping Monte Carlo Edition for the Rapid. Following the suite, the Czech carmaker is set to launch the same limited edition version for its next high-selling model in India, the Kushaq SUV. A few pictures of the Skoda Kushaq Monte Carlo by ACI gives a glimpse of the visual appearance of the new top-spec variant of the SUV.
As it was in the Rapid Monte Carlo, the new Skoda Kushaq Monte Carlo will come with a host of blacked-out bits on the outside. At the front, the grille surrounds and vertical slats, inverted L-shaped bumper corner protectors, and the front skid plate now gets a gloss black finish. In addition to this, the housings for the LED projector headlamps with daytime running LEDs and fog lamps also get a smoked effect.

Moving towards the side profile, the new Skoda Kushaq Monte Carlo will get a gloss black finish for the roof rails, outside rearview mirrors, door handle garnish and fender garnish which sport the Skoda branding. There is a new dual-tone pattern for the 17-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels. While the rear profile of the Kushaq Monte Carlo is not visible in these pictures, this variant might get blacked-out highlights for the badges and bumper corner protectors and a roof-mounted body-coloured spoiler.
An updated cabin as well
A couple of pictures of the interior of the Skoda Kushaq Monte Carlo also reveal the significant visual changes introduced in the cabin. The gloss black panels across the dashboard, lower centre console and door panels in the current top-spec Style variant are replaced here by colour-coded panels, which here in the images are red-coloured. Even the front and rear seats get dual-tone black and red upholstery. Apart from that, the entire cabin here ditches the black and beige combination for an all-black layout.
The Skoda Kushaq Monte Carlo might retain the same feature lineup as the Style variant, which includes a two-spoke multi-functional steering wheel, 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Apple Carplay and Android Auto, ventilated front seats, wireless charger, push the start-stop button and a single-pane sunroof. While it is not clear in the interior image, the Kushaq Monte Carlo might get the full-TFT 7-inch instrument console from the Slavia.
No changes in the engines
The Skoda Kushaq Monte Carlo Edition is likely to be introduced with both the engine options available in the Kushaq right now – 1.0-litre 115 PS three-cylinder TSI petrol and 1.5-litre 150 PS four-cylinder TFSI petrol. However, it is not yet clear whether this trim will be introduced with both manual and automatic transmissions or will be offered just with automatic transmissions.
