Skoda Indian recently unveiled their all-new mid-size SUV Kushaq for the Indian market. Skoda Kushaq is an all-new SUV that the Czech manufacturer has developed. It is based on the Vision IN concept which was showcased last year just before the Auto Expo. It is based on the MQB A0 IN platform. It is first vehicle under Volkswagen group’s India 2.0 strategy. Skoda Kushaq when launched will compete with cars like Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, Nissan Kicks in the segment. Just like any other Skoda vehicle that is currently on sale, Kushaq also has a lot to offer. Skoda has now released a TVC that shows the exterior design and some of the features on this upcoming mid-size SUV.
The video has been uploaded by ŠKODA India on their YouTube channel. The video is all about the exterior features and design of the all-new Kushaq. Video starts with the front grille on the SUV. Kushaq gets, Skoda’s signature butterfly grille at the front. To give it a premium feel Skoda has given a chrome garnish or border around the grille. The video then talks about the sharp and sleek looking headlamps on the Kushaq.

The headlights come with Skoda’s Crystalline LED with integrated LED DRLs in it. Skoda Kushaq has a design that is similar to some other SUVs from the brand but, still it has a character of its own. The rear gets LED split LED tail lights which is now becoming a common thing in almost every car. The reflector are placed below tail lamps and the rear bumper gets a dual tone treatment with a silver colour faux skid plate at the bottom. The rear view camera and the LED lights for the registration plate is also seen in the video.
The video then shows the electrically foldable and adjustable ORVMs with integrated LED turn indicators on them. It also gets a large 17 inch dual tone alloy wheel which looks premium of the car. Another feature that is becoming common on modern day cars is the electric sunroof. The Skoda Kushaq has also got one and there are roof rails and a shark fin antenna on the roof as well.
The video does not emphasises much on the interior but, it does show a glimpse of it. Like other Skoda products, Kushaq will also be getting a premium or plush looking cabin. It will get ambient lighting, door sill lights, mobile pockets, wireless phone charger, ventilated front seats, touchscreen infotainment screen, digital instrument cluster and so on. Kushaq will also get a wide range safety equipment like ABS, EBD and so on.
Like many other manufacturers, Skoda has also dumped all their diesel engines. Kushaq will also be powered by two petrol engine options. There will be a 1.0 litre turbo petrol engine that generates 110 Ps and 175 Nm of torque. This engine will come with a manual gearbox only. The next will be the 1.5 litre turbo petrol engine that generates 150 Ps and 250 Nm of torque. This engine will come with a 7-speed DSG and a 6-speed manual gearbox.
