Owner reviews Skoda Kushaq compact SUV after 4,600 Kms

Skoda launched their compact SUV Kushaq in the market earlier this year. The car received an overwhelming response and is currently a common sight on our roads. There are several video related to Skoda Kushaq available on the internet. Skoda Kushaq competes with cars like Nissan Kicks, Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos and even the recently launched Volkswagen Taigun in the segment. Here we have a video where an owner shares her experience with the Skoda Kushaq after driving it for over 4,600 kms.

The video has been shared by Power On Wheel on their YouTube channel. The owner of the Skoda Kushaq mentioned that she has been driving cars for a long time but, this is the first car that she owned. She has been driving Maruti Suzuki cars in the past and in comparison to that, Skoda Kushaq feels like a premium car.

Before buying Kushaq she had considered Maruti Brezza, Hyundai Venue but, cancelled all of them due various reasons. She also looked at some sedans but, was not happy with them either. Skoda Kushaq offered her a sense of confidence and several features that many other vehicles in the segment were not offering.

The owner bought Kushaq 1.0 TSI Automatic in Ambition trim. The SUV is offered with decent number of features like alloy wheels, touchscreen infotainment system, multi-function steering wheel, cruise control automatic climate control and so on. One of the main reason why she was looking for an SUV is because of the ground clearance. She often travels to places with broken roads and Skoda Kushaq makes her life easier under such circumstances.

In comparison to Maruti Brezza which the owner had considered before buying Kushaq was less powerful than this. That was also one of the reason why she chose Kushaq. The owner opted for automatic because she wanted a seamless stress free driving experience in heavy traffic conditions. The owner was very impressed with the gear shift quality and performance of the car.

The owner bought this SUV around 3 months ago and she has already done around 4,600 kms in the car. The owner has customised the interiors to her liking too. She has not faced any issues with the car so far and said the only things that she misses in her Kushaq is the fuel efficiency. She is currently getting a maximum fuel efficiency of 13-14 kmpl. It is less than what Maruti Suzuki cars offered that used to drive earlier.

The owner liked the seating position and the amount of space that it offers. She also has a dog and said even the dog has approved of Skoda Kushaq. Price for Skoda Kushaq starts at Rs 10.49 lakh, ex-showroom and go up to Rs 17.59 lakh, ex-showroom. It is available in Active, Ambition and Style variants. The base and the mid variant is offered with the 1.0 TSI petrol engine only. This engine gets a 6-speed manual and a 6-speed automatic transmission option. The top-end Style variant gets a 1.5 litre TSI petrol engine that comes with manual and a DSG gearbox optipon. 1.0 litre TSI engine is offered in the top-end trim as well.
